My 1st gen Honda Pilot was leaking oil around the filter housing. Replaced the gasket with this Dorman gasket and now it no longer leaks. Easy job for the shadetree mechanic on a budget.

Acura 3.2 motor mystery leak on back side of block. Old o-ring gasket cracked with no cushion left. Very doable with motor in car. Similar to disconnecting O2 sensor

I had a nasty leak on a 2004 MDX with over 200K miles. After some online research, I decided replacing the vtec gasket was something I could readily do. This Dorman gasket had a much more reasonable price than the Acura one, and in the end proved to be a great value. The form, fit, and function was ideal, and after the install the leak was gone.

Installed in the Vtec solenoid housing/oil filter housing. 2000 Odyssey, 3.5L. Oil leak is gone. Easy fix, located on the bottome of the motor, right behind the passenger front tire-your oil filter is attached to it. It's 3 bolts to take the housing off (large gasket), and 2 bolts to remove the solenoid on top. Just make sure the gaskets are seated properly, hard to mess this one up. Check for leaks right after to make sure it sealed. the Vtec system is under full oil pressure, so when these start leaking it is usually quite a lot, it is not like a seepage from the valve cover, oil pan, or shaft seals. If you haven't replaced, and your car has 150K, I would do it as preventive maintenance. These rubber gaskets harden over time, can crack, and lose their sealing pressure.
