Worked great for almost five years then the crank seal started to leak. I need to do the job again but this time with a complete timing cover plate not just the gasket set.

Forgot that the timing cover on my '98 was composite and didn't use this style gasket. It's been a while since I needed to do one. Otherwise I might have trusted my own instinct and just ordered the water pump gaskets and a new cover which has an integral silicon seal and a crank seal pre-installed. Ended up going to the local parts store for the new cover and used the 3 water pump gaskets and crank sensor o-ring from the Fel-Pro set. Frisbeed the cover gasket into the can.
