Zojirushi rice cookers make it easy to enjoy eating perfectly steamed rice all the time, without the guesswork. When it's as simple as pushing a button, the hardest part is going to be the wait, while our cookers do all the work. All Zojirushi rice cookers are tested to function at an altitude of up to 5,000 feet above sea level

I love the design of this rice cooker for its ease of handling and use. The handle makes it easy to take out of a cupboard and return once it has been used. I like the idea of a place on the side to keep the rice paddle, and the measure cup inside of the bowl. The bowl has settings for many types of rice and marked for easy measuring. The rice always comes out cooked to perfection. The automatic cord winder pulls out and returns well. Best cooker I have ever used.

I’ve had versions of the Zojirushi rice makers for almost three decades now. They all last longer than I even want them to last! I’ve given my older models to my children as they have left for college and jobs just so I can update my kitchen. 😂.I know one can cook rice in most anything but this brand sure makes it foolproof. This particular model was bought for my daughter in law who uses it multiple times a week and thanks me often for this gift!

I've been using the Zojirushi NS-LHC05 Micom Rice Cooker & Warmer for a few months now, and it's quickly become a kitchen essential. The sleek design and intuitive controls make it a pleasure to use. What I love most is its versatility. It not only cooks perfect rice but also cooks dry beans and chickpeas using the "gaba brown" setting. It's incredibly convenient and saves me a lot of time. The keep-warm function ensures that my meals stay fresh and delicious for hours. Whether you're a rice lover or someone looking to explore diverse cuisines, this rice cooker is a fantastic investment.

Bought this to cook jasmine rice and it cooks perfectly. In my old generic rice cooker the top of the rice was very under cooked. The Zojirushi does a fantastic job.

I have always had issues with cooking rice at home, especially sushi rice. This takes all the guess work out and provides the perfect rice everytime. I love the timed start and the multiple cook setting for different rice and grains. It's the perfect size for two to three people.

This is my impression after unboxing and using the rice cooker for the first time. It is simple to use. It took almost an hour cooking jasmine rice... but I knew that and planned by starting the rice early. It has a button to keep rice warm for up to 12 hours. I used that feature keeping the finished rice warm for about 20 minutes. Then I used the reheat button. It spent 9 minutes reheating the rice. I had tasted the rice when it finished cooking and also again after it had been kept warm & was then reheated. It tasted the same to me both times. I followed all the instructions which said to fluff the rice once it has finished cooking. I did that. Then when I was ready to reheat the rice, I sprinkled the top of the rice with about 1 tablespoon of water before closing the lid and pressing the reheat button. The cooker produced rice that had separate grains. It was slightly sticky (I like that) and the rice was more tender than I've ever tasted jasmine before. I asked my son what he thought of the rice from the new cooker and he said "It's a lot softer." I agree, the grains are softer yet keep their shape. We had a small amount of gravy with our rice. I noticed the rice did not soak up any of the gravy even though it was sitting in a puddle of it. This cooker does not make the pot full of little rice sponges I’ve come to know which other rice cookers always produce. A fork full of rice with just a little gravy felt wonderful in my mouth. It's like the gravy was able to coat each grain and didn't disappear into the rice grains. The gravy stayed on the outside of the rice. It was easy to taste both the rice and the gravy separately in my mouth. This helped make for a superior tasting meal. The rice cooled a little slower on my plate than rice made in other rice makers. Once the rice had cooled completely, I thought it still tasted really good. About the taste... it does taste somehow slightly different than the flavor I'm familiar with (for jasmine rice,) but I like this ‘new’ flavor just as much. So far I'm delighted with what this rice cooker can do!

Replacing a 5 years old Panasonic SR-DF101 (non-stick lining failing). Spooked by a single reviewer here stating this is fake Zojirushi, but received item feels well made, 3mm thick wall cooking pot and water level well marked, well written manuals plus warranty paperworks. This 3 cup is one of the few smaller units, most are 5+ cups and too big for me. Regular rice takes 1 hour, countdown timer with alarm (silly melody or soft beeps selectable). This cooker, the moisture collects into the holding cup under the outer steam cover, see pic, just remove the cover after cooking and soak up the water with a sponge. They don’t seem to make the traditional cooker with the quick removable moisture basket any more. It bubbles over the steam cover, but the steam cover is easily removable to clean. The inner top 2 lids, only the bottom one easily pops out to clean, see pic, which is the one requiring regular cleaning anyways. Rice scooper paddle mountable on either side. No steaming basket nor set mode for steaming. Cooked rice comes out even and fluffy as I expected of any Japanese-styled cooker. Made in China. Currently, I see Costco Tiger JBV-S10U is made in Japan. PET-PEEVE: the PDF manual is not searchable. BIG WARNING: Pot edges are not rounded and feels sharp to me, may annoy people who are always in a hurry. FEATURE or ANNOYANCE, U DECIDE: Clock is fixed military time, efficient for people who can “quick math” but maybe annoying to others; Menu always reset to Regular Rice between use so that is convenient to most people but will annoy the rest of u who spend time cooking something else. 1hr cooking takes ~0.08 kwh. CLOCK DOES NOT AUTO DAYLIGHT ADJUST!

This is about as close to a real rice cooker as you will find on the American market... You will have to import something from Asia to get better. By Japanese standards, this is a bit basic, but it makes good rice. The non stick coating has held up very well... After well over 100 uses, it's still like new... The only thing that hasn't held up well is inside of the removable lid... The side exposed to food is fine, but the otherside is not fully anodized, so the aluminum has oxidized... It's probably because we wash it in the dishwasher... It's unsightly, but does not affect functionality, or come into contact with the food... You also can't see it unless you take the lid apart, Sonora really not a big deal.

This is one of the entry level of Zojirushi rice cooker, but not the cheapest. At the time of this review the price brand is $170 (when in stock) and I got this one from the warehouse deals (Used - Acceptable state) for $115.I’ve been using really cheap rice cooker since I’m an adult and been introduced to it by friends. At the time I was in awe about this (I thought) fancy appliance. And one day, I heard about Japanese rice cookers. And how much people were loving them.I thought I was covered with mine, but still was curious to experience and see if these Japanese counterpart were that exceptional. It took me years and a Covid pandemic to really decide to “invest”. And damn, I am glad I did!More about this model. It’s made in China and not Japan. You have to look for either older models or more expensive new ones if you really want one Japan made one. That being said, I’m not disappointed by the quality of the ensemble. It’s pretty sturdy, the inner bowl is thick and heavy and the rice cooker looks great. Now, speaking of the rice. I’ve tried to make white rice and brown rice (with the GABA setting)It takes longer than any other rice cooker. But, it’s so worth it. You get such a perfect rice at the end. Every grain is cooked perfectly, no matter where they are in the bowl. No grain sticks at the bottom !The GABA brown rice takes 2 hours to precook the rice plus probably 1h20 minutes to really cook the rice. But it’s so good at the end. It’s worth every cent and minute spent to cook it.I just changed my habit, and use the internal timer, to make sure my rice is cooked and ready at the time I need it to be cooked. This way, I wash my rice, put the water, set my desired time, and just have to forget about it.Then, once the rice is cooked, it plays its melody. And you know you’re in for a treat. My last words will be, go ahead, we live once. It’s one of my favorite appliance.
