I bought this pressure cooker to take with me on my travels in my van. It’s a small space so full sized appliances are usually too big. Plus I travel alone and don’t need to make large quantities of anything, otherwise I’ll be eating it all week. The first time I used it I added stew beef, teriyaki sauce and a little water, set it to 30 minutes and waited. After a short warm up and pressurization the beef cooked for 30 minutes. It came out very tender and flavorful. How quick and easy!I’m familiar with pressure cookers so the slightly vague instructions weren’t a problem for me. The cooker preformed as expected the only problem was the pressure release safety valve stayed up even though there was no pressure. It wasn’t a problem I just took the tip of a knife and tapped it lightly and it dropped. You can’t open the lid if this piece is stuck upward. Other than that it worked great. The pressure cooker is a great little appliance. It is rather small, only 1 1/2 quarts, this is half the size of the smallest Instant Pot. For those who are single or are smaller eaters it’s ideal. I got two servings of teriyaki beef out of the one cooking. This isn’t a pressure cooker for a family but it’s perfect for a single person or couple who don’t eat large servings. Overall I highly recommend this pressure cooker.

Oooo, I'm excited to get this little pressure cooker! Construction is solid and attractive, and doesnt take much space. Basically a multicooker, personal size! A generous serving for 2, and 1 big piggy serving when youre ready to tie on the old feed bag! 6 cup capacity means I have plenty of room to make a delicious entree for 2! But im most excited about the pressure cooker feature! I would love to have split pea with a single smoked ham hock all the required seasonings, in 30 minutes, not 12 hours! I will update when i pull that off! Meanwhile, its a no brainer for morning mush, rice, especially wild and black rice, which would otherwise need soaking for hours! It does not come with a tray for veggies but, with the pressure cooker possibilities Ive forgotten all about it! You dont need near as much liquid with a pressure cooker, so i got one of those magnets that have pressure cooker time and liquid cheat sheet! Perfect!Edit, really need a full size multi cooker to pull off split pea with ham hocks, but it was delicious in a fraction of the time. I still soak the peas overnight. Its a regular for morning mush, and anytime I want rice. Great cooker!

Once I got the hang of a new appliance I fell in love with this rice cooker. It is easy to use and easy to clean and is a good size for a small kitchen. Best for a couple since the quantity is small. I use more water than recommended- one and half cups (their cup) to a cup of rice and I find the rice is softer and not so chewy. I haven't tried anything else cause I bought it specifically to cook brown rice which is hard to do on top of the stove and get consistency. This cooker aces it every time .

The quality is very good. It looks expensive but is very reasonable priced. It is made for one or two people because of its size. It is very easy to use and cooks different kinds of food in very little time as it is a pressure cooker.

I wanted something that could replace my rice cooker and giant Crock-Pot. While it's not super big, I can make enough rice for my family or other side dish! I've used a couple different kinds of rice and so far they all came out great! The manual has guidelines for different rice or food, as well as recommended liquid amounts! I made chicken drumsticks in it today using the pressure cook function, from frozen, in 15 minutes! Delicious! I'm so excited to try other recipes too! And it's super cute! Non stick and easy to clean! And I love knowing when my dish will be ready! Be careful with the lid, the steam pressure valve isn't attached, it kinda just sits in the hole, and could get lost cause it's small( honestly the only thing I dislike and it doesn't change my love for this little gadget). I would love to see this design in a full size cooker as well! And more colors! (Red would be awesome!)

Amazing multicooker, its working perfectly and very fast, easy to clean and price is totally fair. Highly recommend ! I work on business trips and just take it with me to quickly prepare healthy meals. Its compact , it is small, about the size of a soccer ball, inner pots volume is enough to put 6-8 chicken legs.

Cons, 1it’s small. If you only use it to cook rice for one to two people, I guess it’s fine. If you want to cook something else, I.e. corn cobs, this cooker isn’t big enough to hold one corn cob. 2the warranty isn’t three years. Only one year warranty. I have tried to contact the seller twice and they seem not willing to respond or support three years warranty, although they say so in the description.Pros, there’s a lot. 1it works well as a pressure cooker. I have read all US reviews. And I didn’t have too many issues other than the above two cons. I guess, for most buyers. the confusion was mainly caused by uncertainty. For example, some buyers said they don’t know when the food is ready. Well, it’s very straightforward for me, when the food is ready, it beeps five times. It’s loud. You won’t miss it. And before the food is ready, you don’t need to guess. Just sit and relax, and allow the cooker to work through its own course. Some buyers seem not understanding the pre heat. The pressure cooker needs to build up enough pressure inside the cooker before starting to cook. When I only cook one cup of rice, the pre heating time is five minutes. When I added water up to the 3/5 line of the pot, it took more than ten minutes to pre heat. When it started to cook, the cooking time is exactly the same as it said in the description, 12 minutes for rice. I have tried rice and congee. The cooker worked pretty well. So I recommend it, as long as you don’t feel it’s too small. I had to return it because the seller didn’t respond and I don’t want to sacrifice the flexibility of adding corn cobs to the cooker when I cook rice.Update, One thing I should correct myself is about the lid material. I thought it’s aluminum. I did more research today. Now I think it’s stainless steel. I’m not a scientist. So I don’t know the material for sure. My best guess is stainless steel. I don’t want to mislead other buyers by saying it’s aluminum.

First off, I bought a Bear yogurt maker a few years ago and I love it so much. I loved the attention to detail, that real glass was used over plastic to make my yogurt in. So, when I needed a very small appliance of course I turned to Bear. I call this my Baby Pot. And goodness, do I love the attention to detail Bear put into this little pressure cooker! It is so cute to use, it makes me smile. I already own a 6 quart instant pot, and a three quart instant pot. But, they are just too big for the two of us. And when I saw Bear had this product I didn't hesitate to buy it. There are no recipes in the manual. It is a simple manual. Others have complained about it. I have discovered which functions are pressure cooking settings and which are not by a simple process - if you turn it on, select a function button then remove the lid, the pressure settings give you a LID warning error on the digital display. I also discovered that the slow cooker setting, (there is no low or high for this), seems to cooks on high, so I shorten my cooking times accordingly. This appliance comes with a little rice measuring cup, and the max is 3 cups of rice. That totals to to 2 and 1/4 standard measuring cups of rice. Each button has a preset time, you just press the same function button to increase that time, once it reaches its maximum time, the counter will roll over to a smaller time on almost all the buttons. That is fine with me.Rice isn't the only thing that can be cooked in this pot. What I love is that I can pressure cook 1/4 of a cup of dried beans, with 3/4 cup of water. There is a start cooking delay button, but the smallest time delay you can set is for 2 hours. (I don't recall the maximum delay time, but you can set it before bed, and have breakfast, or lunch ready the next day.) Since each button has a set minimum time, if you need to pressure cook veggies for less time, just set a timer. The pot makes a sound when it has reached the correct heat or pressure, so I start counting my time from that point. Also, you will see the display change to the count timer. I can just do a simple math and figure out if it's gone a minute or two, hit the cancel button, and release the pressure manually.Talking about releasing the pressure manually - I simply love how that is done. I press a button on handle! So simple, so neat and clean. You need to hold down the button to continuously release the pressure, which is okay with me. If I see any sputtering, I stop releasing the steam for a few seconds, and let the pressure out in short bursts. All without getting near the pressure weight or vent.I have small hands, (painful hands on some days), and the pot handle is great. It is comfortable for me to use. It doesn't cause any extra pain on my bad hands day. Everything in this little pot seems well thought out for ease of function. I also love that appliance has a handle, just like a bucket, and can be carried like a bucket...so cute! AND that was a function I didn't know I was missing and is useful. I can move the pot around with ONE hand. :)Customer service is really great. They are very responsive to any questions via Amazon's web site. I didn't respond for a few weeks, (sick), but they acted like no time had passed. I appreciate that. Things pop up in life and sometimes you can't immediately respond. They have a great deal of patience,to . I REALLY appreciate that.I originally thought I would learn how to cook with this pot, (and use it for traveling only), in the hotel rooms, since it is so small and won't take up a lot of space in the car. (Keep the original box to pack it for travel!) But this Bear Pressure cooker has become my go to appliance at least once a day, and I have had this for a few months now. I think this would be the perfect gift for a college student. Just buy them one when they are in 12th grade, and teach them how to use it, so by the time college rolls around, or they move out, they will have experience in using it without worry, (or should I say without your worrying about them using a pressure cooker?!). I feel this is the safest electric pressure cooker, or stove top pressure cooker, I have ever owned. I love it.Oh, and if you do have a larger family, you can use the Bear pressure cooker to make a side dish easily. It takes up very little counter space; you should be able to squeeze it in somewhere. I also found that this Bear appliance does not over heat my counter top. I don't need to put a trivet under it. It would have been perfect back in the day when I was making baby food. Just the right size if you prep baby food ahead of time, like I did. And it also is the perfect size that a finicky eater who doesn't like what you have cooked for the family. He or she easily can go fix themselves something in the Bear Pressure cooker. It also works if someone in the family is on a special diet. Easy to make a small portion just for them in the small cooker without a huge amount of left overs.Ease of cleaning is great. I don't like to put my non stick pots into the dishwasher, so I just hand wash the inner pot, and I also hand wash the little lid. I don't soak the pressure cooker's lid in water, I don't like the idea of water in hard to reach dry places; I don't do that for my Instant Pot lids, either. That is just personal preference.Over all. I do so love BOTH of my Bear appliances. They are good at what they do. And it does make my life easier. :)
