Let me start by saying I am not a plumber by trade. However I’m broke and can’t afford one so I must do my own repair work. A while back our sewer extraction pump was overflowing and leaking and the previous owner even had it venting inside the house. So I fixed the pipes to vent outside, replaced the cover and bought 2 separate check valves and they both leaked. So after some research it seemed to be the consensus of the plumber community that this brand is what you want. I was reluctant considering it’s more than twice the cost of others but I bought it and I’m so glad I did. Not only did it not leak from what I read if in the future it goes out you can rebuild it because it’s cast iron not plastic. If you are trying to send poop uphill just buy this one first or you will have to buy it after you fail with the cheap ones. Quality comes at a price but so does piece of mind. After all I want what is best for my family and this is it.

This was very easy to install and works well. Much quieter than PVC S-613 Legend valve. Definitely go with the cast iron. What a difference.

There are hair raising stories by people whose plastic valve exploded, because it was...glued. Even drinking bottles are made as one piece by blow molding...what an idiotic design for a part under the internal pressure!I just replaced it with Zoeller valve because I DID imagine my basement looks when that valve breaks and starts shooting excrements all over the area....GOOD job, Zoeller...your valve is top of the line and worth every penny!

I moved into a very old Mid Century home about a year ago. The first thing I noticed was a bad odor coming from the basement. Being a city dweller I had never had to deal with an ejector pump. I did some research and found that my old sump pump was defective. So I did more research and found that Zoeller made some of the best and found almost all reviews to positive. I replaced the Backflow preventer as well as the Ejector pump. The old was loud, every time it eliminated waste up into the main it sounded like an explosion. My cats even jumped. (I think they still have PTSD from that pump) So long story short, the new Zoeller backflow preventer and ejector pump are very quiet, efficient and sturdy. They're made off Cast Iron and are heavy duty. I think that's what makes them so quiet, instead of those cheap pumps. Believe me, you want to pay a little extra and use Zoeller.PS- I'm considering getting Aroma Therapy for the Kitties.. Lets hope they'll forgive me.

Very robust unit. It should last for many years.

So far so good with this valve. I had to replace the old one after it got clogged with a child's toy that had been flushed. The clog caused a pressure build up that forced the union to separate. I could hear a strange noise coming from the mechanical room after flushing the toilet. So, like an idiot I flushed the toilet again and then went straight into the mechanical room only to be greeted by the lift pump spraying raw sewage all over the entire room blanketing the furnace, hot water heaters, storage boxes and myself. Do yourself a favor and make sure you get a secure connection to your pipes and if you hear a weird sound coming from your lift pump, check the pump and plumbing first before flushing the toilet again.

very fast delivery, had to cut 3/4" from the sump pipe but installation only took about 15 min. altogether and no more loud thud after every cycle

This was very easy to install and works well. I installed it replacing a leaky one. It is being used for an ejector pump in our basement washroom.

I just installed this along with a new Zoeller ejector pump. It has a solid cast iron body with heavy duty rubber sleeves that fit snugly on the 2" SCH40 PVC waste pipe. The flapper is made of a heavy rubber membrane with a large stainless steel plate on top and a smaller one on the bottom. It looks like it should hold up to the rigors of sewage pumping. The only problem I have with it is it came with no product information, no warranty information (if there is any) and no paperwork of any kind. If someone has never done this before, I guess there's a possibility it could be installed upside down. There is no flow direction on the valve either. So, if you're not paying attention... (no, I didn't make that mistake!)But without some sort of product information, you have no idea what part to order should one fail. The body should last forever. But the rubber parts will eventually fail. I like to have that kind of information on hand. Also missing was a packing slip and/or receipt.
