Developed in conjunction with renowned jazz drummer Adam Nussbaum, the 22” K Constantinople Renaissance Ride is a versatile instrument that works well in small-to-medium sized musical settings. Its unique hammering features borrow from other K and K Custom series, resulting in a beautiful hybrid with a wide spectrum of sound applications. Three rows of over hammering and four series of large hammer clusters on top give it a slightly 'trashy' sound, and beautiful spread of dark overtones. This cymbal features smooth lathing on both sides for a little extra give, and the unlathed underside of the bell retains stick definition and a clearer bell sound.

This cymbal sings. It’s beautifulI used this in rehearsal with the big band I play in and all the songs sounded better the band was saying the songs were sounding better then ever, they did not know I was using this new cymbal as my ride they just knew things sounded better then previous. I recorded the rehearsal and could here this cymbal I now used as my primary ride just singing like a added voice it’s awesome

This item was previously used and sold as new. Fingerprints were patinaed onto the brass and had been there for some time. The online photo of the product is clean and shiny, not ours. One part of the cymbal was bent. I used our table to bend the bent area back closer to where it should have been. Obviously repacked and sent back out. We have previously ordered Zildjian Cymbals and know of their quality. This did not live up to Zildjian's usual quality.

I have never bought any of my cymbals online, without actually trying out myself first -this was my first online cymbal purchase.Fortunately, I am more than happy with the results. This is an exquisite instrument. Period.Mine weighs 2560g (which is also handwritten right below the bell). This ride has the perfect combination of stick definition, dark wash and crash-ability. The bell sound is amazing. If you think you will be playing in smaller venues or rooms, the 20" version of this cymbal can be good alternative, too. However, the 22" version exclusively has 4 clustered hammer spots close to the edge of the cymbal. The stick definition and tone changes if you play on these spots.I highly recommend this beautiful cymbal for all genres -maybe except heavy metal since you may want to pick something brighter and heavier to cut through heavy riffs.

This is an awesome cymbal, and i must say that it has more things that will surprise you more than anything. This is quite a different cymbal from the k con ride line. It is a wet cymbal - a really long sustain, which some people may not like. Warm and dark, yet a little bit complex in tone. The great part is the overhammering and cluster hammering features are combined with the crash-ability of this cymbal. You can hit this cymbal really hard, and it will produce the attack that you will get from hitting a regular crash model - except this one has much longer sustain, and very low pitch. I think the hammering technique that is similar to that of orchestral cymbal makes the hard-crashing of this very reminiscence of the original symphonic crash cymbal pair - majestic and full. Nevertheless, you can angle your hit a little bit, and the crashing sound will become that which blends into the music. Oh yeah, using mallets will also work great, since it also sounds well when used as suspended cymbal. The bell, to me, is kind of a weird match with the ride sound though. The bell alone sounds really clear and articulate, and it is really great; but when combined with the stick sound from the ride, the bell sounds really overwhelming, since it is so loud and clear, but the ride does not really produce much of that metal sound. But using nylon tip sticks should help to resolve this matter. All in all, this cymbal might be quite pricey, but it is really a good investment.
