This was the first present to both my wife and mother in law. Made it very easy to open their presents and more. I even used it to trim a wooden blind. Very hand and fairly sturdy.

This is our third one. It opens those horrible plastic packages easily. It also cuts wires and zip ties. The razor is useful and is easy to safely tuck away. Highly recommended.

Excellent tool. We are on our third one of these because we love them and use them so much! Durable, cuts heavy items, and is essential for dealing with the many deliveries we receive. Christmas without one in good working order would be a nightmare!

This is the best household tool ever! It cuts flower stems, opens boxes, opens tightly wrapped packages like boxes, CDs, razor blades, vitamins, shampoo, and toys. Your package will be opened and you won't have blurted a single swear word! Also has a sharp blade, tiny screwdriver and more. I use it everywhere, inside and outside my home. It's a great gift. When I gave one to a handyman pro recently, he said it may become his favorite tool.

This is a must have in your kitchen drawer. I use it everytime I have something that’s in any kind of molded plastic. It just cuts right through it and saves your hands/nails. I also love the small razor blade for opening packages and boxes from Amazon!!! So many uses. Easy to use, the grip is good for both my hands and my husband’s. We have a vacation house and I just couldn’t live without supplying it with this tool. My first one is probably 5 years old and it still is as durable as it was in the beginning.

I had this product for many years and finally pushed it too far and broke the handle. Believe me it was not easy. This product is well made. Since I use this so much I ordered a new one right away. Great for opening packages and many other things. Wouldn't be without it. Highly recommend

I saw this recommended by a person I follow. It's good in that it serves a variety of purposes.. It's just a little bit clunky and awkward for some of the functions. But blades are all nice and sharp and it's a sturdy tool. I got one for myself and one for my daughter and she says she uses hers a lot!

Our old green OpenIt heavy duty scissors lasted about 5 years and bit the dust recently when it would no longer close on cutting and I could not bend the hard metal blades back into working order. So I bought two of the newer version which is a more attractive blue colour and has a flange near the blade pivot to keep the blades aligned during heavy cutting of tough plastic packaging or stiff cardboard. Works very well. The sliding "box cutter" blade has to be held open while using other wise its spring loading slides it back into the handle - a good safety feature. Good price, too! Highly recommended.

The tool works great. It has everything you need to open boxes or items in heavy plastic. Heavy plastic is hard to cut with regular scissors, the Open-it works like a charm.The only draw back I see is that they went a little overkill on the safety items on this version.

I bought this specifically for use on purchases from Amazon. I think I may be addicted to buying products on here! It makes opening packages simple and tidy. The screwdriver has come in handy as well. It is definitely worth the money.

The Zibra Open-It is not easy to find except in Amazon. It is indispensable for opening some plastic packaging when using a knife or scissors could be dangerous. All sorts of uses can be discovered over time!

I purchased this item to open plastic enclosed packages and this tool seems perfect for the job. It also includes a small but useful box cutter and a small, reversible screwdriver. The scissors aspect should be perfect for cutting through tough items without getting as dull as ordinary scissors. All in all it looks like a well-designed, well-constructed tool that should provide years of service, but we'll have to wait to see if it lives up to its promise.UPDATE: I've now used this item for several months on a regular basis and can report it excels on opening plastic clam-shell cases, the bane of modern society. The biggest issue has been with cases that are tightly fitted to the object they enclose. The scissors require a little room to clear the enclosed object. It works with even thick plastic enclosures because the scissors are designed to maximize leverage. I also use the box cutter for cutting sealing tape but I find a standard box cutter is preferable if I'm going to be working with a lot of cardboard. I seldom use the screwdriver but its nice to have one handy, often as a pry tool. It's a keeper.
