Arrived quickly with Amazon PrimeI ordered these as I have a Maltese, which by nature hates being left alone and can be quiet nervous for all sorts of reasons. My dog does not normally like treats, in fact he will take or leave it no matter what the treat is. But, after trying a few he did start to see that they were a treat and we had to do this before he realised that he would have one before we leave the house. To start we had to break them down in size as he is a small Maltese, but after a few he started to have them whole.Although he likes them and see these are a treat, for the time I have used them I cannot say he has carmed down, but this may change over time. I will keep trying, best case he will not be so nervous every time we leave the house, worst case is that I have a big tub of dog treats.

I've tried lots of different calming dog chews, and some are great, some are not so great. I would put this in the great category! The dogs love the taste, and they chill out after doing a bit of work for the treats. One of my dogs has had digestion issues with beef, but these primarily duck protein ones have been excellent, and no runny poops afterwards.Very happy indeed!

So the whole calming aspect of these... I don't know, they definitely didn't seem to help calm them down before a walk, they didn't seem to do much in calming them if given before "Mum came home from work" and we've not noticed them settle any better of an evening either. But then again beagles are a fairly energetic breed and maybe "the nature of beagle is irrepressible". At the very least I can say these work no worse than other brands of similar "calming" treats we've tried. They do however definitely hover these up when offered, and there is nothing bad or concerning with these treats. They've been no messy, or smelly side effects either. We've higher hopes for these on their next long car journey, but we don't have one of those planned for while. However I will pop an update up if there are any significant results.

My picky Boston Terrier likes the flavor, and I can definitely notice the difference in his stress/anxiety. These are a huge help with leaving for the day and keeping both dogs calm. They will be added to my subscriptions!

I got these for my dog to take on occasions when she might get slightly anxious such as when there are fireworks, or if we take her to the local bar, where for some reason she used to get into quite a panic. Our dog has a very healthy diet, on the whole, so I liked that these are all natural ingredients with no nasties. It seems to be mainly melatonin and hemp so I figure it should work. She eats them just like any other treat, which is good, and I think they are making a slight difference. It is hard to say as it is early days and we haven't had a fireworks night where I can really put them to the test, but in the local bar, when it gets really noisy, she used to drag me out, whereas now she does seem to be more tolerant, which I figure might be down to these, but it could be that it has just not been as loud in a certain frequency as before, such as with lots of corks popping, which she really doesn't like. They're not cheap, but it isn't like I am giving them to her every day, so they should last a considerable amount of time, and if it works then it is money well spent. So, in conclusion, our dog definitely likes them, and they do seem to be having an effect.

Our dog loves food, and is very food motivated, so treats of any kind are always a welcome thing to be excited about. These chews are no different in that respect, and she gobbles them up no questions asked (other than "can I have more?")We tried both the beef and chicken flavors, and our 3-year-old dog enjoyed them equally. As far as how effective they were (or weren't) at actually helping her to calm down... it's hard to say. She'll have some days where she's relatively calm and goes most of the day without causing much fuss at all. And then there will be days where she does her best to bark nonstop at every noise she hears or anything that moves, and it goes on for hours on end until everybody is sick of hearing it.She tends to have an easily upset stomach, probably because of all her anxiety I would guess, but these chews didn't bother her stomach at all, so that was good to see.The first day we gave them to her according to the directions, and we just added them to her food bowl in the morning with her breakfast (she's used to getting morning treats this way already.)I thought they had worked well, because she was relatively calm that day. and the times when she did start barking a bit, instead of getting all worked up and barking up a storm like she tends to do, she quickly settled back down and only barked for a few minutes before stopping. That's a bit unusual for her, so I thought perhaps the chews were helping a bit in that way. However, we waited a few days before trying to give her some more of them because of her upset stomach the next morning (unrelated to the chews, but we weren't sure at the time) and the second time we gave them to her, she had one of her very bark-y days, where she just went on and on for hours. So... she was just as worked-up as ever, despite having these treats that were supposed to help calm her down.Either the effects were temporary and they wore off quickly for her, or else more likely is that she was never that impacted by them to begin with. Still, she does like them, and we can still give them to her as morning treats regardless. I feel confident about their ingredients, as they seem to be natural things for the most part, and it does say the formula is vet-approved, so that brings peace of mind too.One thing to note here though is that these chews need to be refrigerated after opening the jar, so just be aware of that. Also it suggests only a certain amount be fed to them per day, depending on the size/weight of the dog, so you want to be careful of that too.I would say it would be worth a try to see if it helps your dog, but it may end up being little more than a normal treat for them. So, just don't have your expectations too high about them making some kind of miraculous difference or drastic change in your dog's behavior, and be prepared for them to be like "normal" treats before buying, and you should be fine with these.

I can’t believe how well these work. My 6mo old dog has been crazy and wild. 1 of these and she was calm and able to settle down in the evening.

Our dogs anxiety is better controlled with hemp-derived products vs prescribed meds that have had negative side effects. He also likes the flavor (we tried the duck) so it’s easy to give him these as needed. It does have a more gritty texture though. I may try the chicken or beef flavor next.I research a lot about ingredients for our dogs, but I didnt know much about L Theonine or Triptophan.Hemp is well known for its calming effects but it turns out these other ingredients are also very effective calming mechanisms that are good for people and dogs so that makes me happy knowing I can also give it to our dogs and their system can process it.I wasn’t sure what Vitamin 9 was and looked it up. Turns out it is B9 - or folate - which is actually a B vitamin that aids in cell proliferation so our bodies make healthy new red blood cells. It may not directly relate to “calming” our dogs, but knowing I’m giving them necessary vitamins for healthy cells is a bonus if you ask me.

I'm not sure how successful the hemp dog treats are in calming my pups down, but in any case I know that they are full of healthy ingredients that will benefit their diet. In particular, hemp oil is rich in the omega fats vital for healthy heart and brain function. The treats themselves come in a recyclable container which is packed full and sealed with a foil cover. The treats are a good size - just over 2cm - a cute bone shape, and smell a bit like Oxo cubes. These treats are so delicious that our whippet will come to me in the morning, look at the pot and cry until he gets his treats. Given how fussy he can be, this is high praise indeed.

We have a 16-year-old dog in good health besides sight, hearing, and other age-related things. Given that he naps constantly, he sometimes throws his day/night routine out of whack, making him more active at night—roaming around the house, jumping in and out of bed, wanting to go outside, wanting to eat, etc. It's not great for him or other residents of the house. We've tried other calming hemp treats, pure small-dose OTC melatonin, and other natural means. So far, these little ZENO chews are the best and work most consistently (in addition to other changes we make, like cutting off feeding times a bit earlier). He loves how these taste. They are very small, which is great. And although they aren't soft chews, they aren't hard...they are somewhere in between. And they crumble very easily, which is great for our dog (we crumble them into a little pile on the floor that he can lick up).We can use these for a few days as needed to get his sleep cycle back to normal. We give them to him about 30 minutes before bedtime, and when he takes them, he sleeps through the whole night and wakes up normally. There's no "grogginess" or weird after-effects when he wakes up.The ingredients and levels of each ingredient are all dog-safe, even for our small dog (always check with your vet first, if you want confirmation). We tested these with our dog during a time when his cycle was out of sorts and compared them to the other methods we have on hand. We are very pleased with the results. These are listed on sale right now for $9.99 for 150 chews, which I consider a great bargain. If they return to the list price of $22.99, I will still consider that reasonable, given that you get 150 chews, and we don't give our dog more than one per evening.
