I have tried other canine “relaxers” - including CBD and nothing has worked as well as these!!

After trying another brand of calming chews that were less expensive, I've returned to review Vet's Best Comfort Calm Calming Soft Chews Dog Supplements. These did not upset our close to 80 lb. Chessie's gastrointestinal system like the other brand we tried. I found that 2-3 chews at once help calm him. It does take 20-30 minutes as advertised to kick in so keep that in mind when planning its use. We only use it with him one time a day when we leave for work in the morning.It's also a plus that they are Made in the USA.

He has to be brushed every evening and only lets me when he gets his chew, so he comes to me and waitsThey work in calming him as he's young and boisterous.

Did nothing to my samoyed. This product doesn't work and I tried to return it but is not returnable and they won't give me the money back. Don't waste your money on this.

I use these for our senior pug and as an extra help for my reactive Frenchie on days that i know are going to be difficult for them like going to the groomer for nail trims. They make a big difference especially for our pug who would usually be stressed and hyperventilating for hours after. These let her calm right down after and have a nice nap.

I don’t want to say this product is terrible. Its just did not work for my dog but she enjoyed the flavor. Unfortunately the sound of fireworks is much more powerful in bringing in fear than the calmness effects of the treat. My dog continued to tremble at the sounds of fireworks even after trying to give her the treat prior to fireworks starting.

Our shiba inu can be very skitzy and we tried these chews when we took her to have her nails trimmed (she absolutely hates getting her nails trimmed). We gave her a chew about 30 minutes before driving to the groomer. She seemed calm walking in, but as soon as the groomer approached our dog, the game was up and calming effect was over. We tried the chews another time when we had guests over. Again, she seemed calm for a few minutes but to no effect when guests actually entered house (she barks like crazy). Won't be purchasing this product again.

The chews do take the edge off for the dog if it gets too wound up or is going into a bit of a stressful situation where there is a number of dogs with high energy such as dog training. They start to work pretty quickly for my dog..within 15 minutes and calms her down

Works as promised. My dog in 11.5 kgs. 1/2 tablet was not doing the magic, so I bumped it up to 1 full tablet. Works like a charm. Diwali problems solved!He non drowsy, aware of the noise, but not panicking and loosing his marbles.

These work great on our dog with seperation anxiety. He could not even deal with one of us stepping out of the car before, he would whine constantly, pace and drool. After giving him these for 2 days, we went out for a drive and my husband ran into the store. I was shocked to see that he was just laying there calm and quiet. He didn't even respond to a prescription medication from the vet the way he did to these. He still has some bad days, but these took it down to a more manageable level. We use them every day and are impressed with the results. They don't work for every dog, but they are definitely worth trying.

I bought this ones thinking it was similar to the other brand I always buy for my dogs. I always buy them by a CVS near my college, but am in summer break and is really far from my home. No other CVS has them. anyway, I search in amazon and they are too expensive here for some reason. I though this brand would work the same, and yeah, I can say that it does work to calm my dogs.The problem is my peaky dogs. They were happy eating the other calming chews but not this ones. Is a struggle to get them to take them. I been sneaking them in their food now, but my black lab keeps sniffing and knows there's something she doesn't like. She is eating it, but very reluctantly. The chews have a strong smell, not plesant to be honest. They dont look tasty either. I remember i once had to stop my uncle from eating one of the other chews I normally buy, he thought it was chocolate and said it looked tasty. I guess I'll have to buy those other expensive chews now.Like I said, it does calm dogs, that deserves 5 stars, but the fact that my dogs don't like the taste is an issue.UPDATE: I will definitely keep buying this for my furbabies. July 4 was so different this year. Can't say my dogs were having a blast, but they were calmer, more than last year. My lab didn't get destructive, and they just stayed inside their comfort spot. I actually found a way to give them the treats. I just hid the treats inside a slice of ham, and that worked great. So now am changing to 5 stars

We live next door to someone who doesn't take care of their pets, and their pit bull guard dog is one of them. The poor thing thinks it's his sole purpose to police the block and barks at everything, and sometimes you can tell he's doing it because he's scared. Whenever he starts barking for more than 15 minutes, I know he'll be barking for hours so I give him two of these and he calms WAY down. I'd say it works for about 4-6 hours, which is usually enough time to get him to go to sleep at night (and allows me to sleep as well!). These treats do crumble pretty easily, so that could be a benefit it you want to mix it in with food, but would be bad if you have a dog that bites when you hand-feed. The package arrived and it looked like it had been tossed around quite a bit but most of them were still intact. The aforementioned pit bull seems to really like them, but he is in no way a picky eater (and he takes to hand-feeding like your hands are made of silk--so gentle!).As a public service announcement, I'd just like to say that keeping an animal like that outside and never interacting with it will eventually psychologically scar a dog, not to mention the physical damage that neglect causes. This dog is incredibly sweet and I'd adopt him if the neighbors decided they didn't want him anymore (they certainly act like they don't). The way he peeks in through the window to see what his owners are doing breaks my heart every time.

Finally I have some peace in my household ! For some crazy reason I added 2 puppies to my "family" at the same time.Both were around 10 weeks old at the time.One is now a 7 month Irish Setter and the other a 6 month old English Setter.They are BFF's but I live in the PNW and with all the rain we are getting they cannot get out and romp too much so lots of high energy.I give the pups full dose in their dinner. I also have 2 English Cockers who like to keep the pups in line so there is a lot of activity here.I give them each 1/2 dose in their dinner. I decided that to keep my husband from leaving me I had better try to keep the peace and this product is perfect.I love that it is natural and the same type of supplements I have taken myself to relax me before bedtime. They are all still playful but at 40 MPH instead of 90 ! It does not put them to sleep but is calming. I may also try 1/2 dose when nail grinding time comes around because they hate the noise. I am very happy to have found this product to use for the rainy months when they aren't able to be out side and running off their energy.
