This is a really good product for the price, but there are zero instructions for the wiring which is not great.

I went back for another one after buying this! They’re great quality, and my son really enjoyed the process of creating something so beautiful!

So I am in the middle of prepping for stain and seal, and these are the thinks I have noticed so far. First and foremost the neck they sent, while marked as “matching” the body, seems to be a stray neck, and doesn’t have the inlays on the tele hollow body photo, just the standard dot inlays. Also the neck pocket is too loose, not a snug fit at all, so I’m gonna have to shim it to install. Other than that so far everything seems to be pretty decent quality, the neck was sent very straight, and no leveling or fret work needed other than some light filing and polishing. The basswood body needed to be sanded a bit more, and the hollow portion is Super thin, so def be careful with sanding that part. Update, their customer service is absolutely incredible, and they went above and beyond to resolve all issues! Make sure you give a little time for them to get back to you, but when they do they listen to any and all issues and do everything possible to resolve them

Kit arrived well packed and in good shape. The machining of the body was actually pretty good and required very little clean up, same with the neck. For the finish I ended up with, it took 2 passes of polyurethane with some fine grit sandpaper to seal the body. Then the rest was rattle can spray paint for the color and clear coat; doing passes with 1200 grit in between. Only difficult part was reshaping the headstock to match the traditional strat look, but otherwise everything else was pretty much ready to go out of the box. One nice detail is all the pre-drilled holed for pretty much ever screw across the body, but unfortunately, the pick guard holes didn't line up too well, so I had to plug maybe half of them and redrill the pilot hole for it to fit correctly. The pick guard plate comes pre-wired with all the hardware, but the hardware looked pretty poor. I ended up replacing it with better quality stuff, which thankfully still fit in the rather tight body cavity. I ended up replacing the pots, wiring, switch, pickups and the tuning pegs, because the ones that came with this kit wouldn't thread properly. Kit sadly comes with no assembly instructions whatsoever, but thankfully there's a ton of videos on pretty much any detail about strats online, which helped tremendously to this first-time guitar builder. If you are a novice, like me, guitar will definitely need a tuning pass from a luthier to get the tremolo set properly and the action tuned, but out of the box, it's actually not too bad for the price. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and will definitely be making more in the future.

The kit itself seems to be fine, the wood and materials are what I’d expect. However, most kits come with wiring instructions or you can go to their website and download them. This aspect is most important to the build. If I were an expert I would not be buying a beginners kit. Would be of great help to include these critical instructions.

I had an issue that with the kit I received and it was immediately resolved. It's nice to deal with a business that stands by their products and cares about customer satisfaction.

It came with no wiring diagram, bummer!, thin wiring, cheap switches, I suppose ok for the money if you're a skilled luthierist, not for beginner builders. I have to admit the body and neck seemed to be great but the way bar was cheesey cause the spring was so stiff and just was free floating not fixed. Living in a rural area just the gas and time returning it was a total loss for me and it's taking forever for a refund.

I assume that the manufacturer would check to see if the neck had a hump in it. As you know when you have a hump you're screwed. After I put all the work into finishing this guitar. Finally had a chance to set it up. I determine the neck as a hump. I missed my return date by a couple of days. If this seller would be so kind? Just to send me a new neck I would be very happy. Otherwise it was fun and everything else fit perfectly. But as everyone knows the neck is extremely important. You can replace electronics easier than straightening the neck. I guess it's just live and learn. Now it's going to be a decorative piece for the wall. After exhausting research I have found the trust rod can also take the hump out of the neck. Only some guitars where the truss rod can be turned the opposite way. Once it has loosened up you can tighten it again the other way to pull the neck straight. It does have a few high frets that need to be file down some. Otherwise I do believe it is salvageable now.
