This is a poor quality coco material. The shreds are too broken up to be used in a cage. There is a lot of dust and broken pieces in the coco/package.

not enough to fill the tank but is enough to refresh it.

This Coco husk is nice! Exactly like any other brand I've used of this stuff. It's a good amount of material compressed in this brick (roughly 8"x4"x2" in size), which is nice. Works great for reptiles, as well as in potting mixes for houseplants. This is maybe slightly more expensive than other options on Amazon/at local pet stores, but overall not a horrible value I don't think. I'd get it again.

Got this for my geckos to play in and for my hermit crab. They all love it. This holds moisture very well and provides great enrichment for leopard geckos and gives a nice place for crested geckos to dig. My hermit crab loves to shred the large pieces to look for tidbits that I cover them with.Seems to be good quality and has no bad smell. Very earthy smell and seems to be 100% natural.

These coco chips are a great addition to bioactive enclosures. They hold a lot of moisture, helping to keep the surrounding substrate damp, which is important for maintaining a thriving cleanup crew. The brick broke down easily once soaked, and I appreciated the variety of chunk sizes. It gives a more natural look compared to brands that only offer uniform large pieces. The overall quality is solid, with no odd debris or excessive dust. Would definitely buy again.

These coconut shavings are a great addition to the hermit crab habitat! They love it, and it creates a more natural environment since it’s real coconut. There’s actually a lot of it. This comes compressed but expanded to fill almost the whole habitat. Highly recommend!

Who doesn't love big ol chunks of coconut husk for their terrarium? It is a classic for a reason, it is great at holding humidity and doesn't stick to high heaven when it is damp. I really like this brick, my only small complaint is the inconsistency in the size, I think because it was compressed into a brick I have to soak to fluff up, there ended up being a wider range of chunk sizes and a decent amount of smaller bits that I sifted out to put in my plants. Other than that, I find this to be very good substrate!

From what we can tell, the coconut chips are just that, and no dangerous anything in our brick. If we end up finding anything once we use it all, I'll update my review. For now, it's 5 stars. It helps to keep moisture in our crabitat, and terrarium. We are dry starting our aquarium plants, and put some in there as well to help retain humidity. All seems well with this product.
