We were excited to use our new Zakarian by Dash 12"x12" Nonstick Cast Iron Grill Topper. The third time that we used it on top of out stove grilling some onions and mushrooms, it CRACKED! Returned it to Amazon without any difficulty.

This Zakarian by Dash Nonstick Cast Iron Grill Topper is very versatile. It can be used on the grill, oven, or on the stovetop too. It is a nice size at 12x12, great for sandwiches, pancakes, as well as normal grill items like chicken or fish. It is cast iron so it is a bit heavy but it also has a non-stick coating. The non-stick works well and is easy to clean. But I do like the longevity of a real cat iron pan that I can season. This is definitely a very convenient and versatile grill pan option.

I love a good cast iron skillet and use them near exclusively in my house. So when I came across this Zakarian by Dash 12"x12" Nonstick Cast Iron Grill Topper I just had to give it a try!This thing is definitely heavy duty and well made for the price! The size is big enough to get a lot of food on it, but not so big that it’s difficult to handle. I have used this both in the oven and on the grill and it works wonderfully on both. I wish I could also use it on my stovetop, but considering I have a flat top electric stove it just wouldn’t really work out that way. But overall super happy with this and 100% would recommend it!

Zakarian by Dash 12"x12" Nonstick Cast Iron Grill Topper for Perfect Sear on Steaks, Burgers, Fish, Vegetables and More - BlackFirst impressions: Nicely heavy square pan for stovetop or grill. The handles are nice, but I bet they get hot. The finish is smooth. I like the logo on the bottom but I bet that doesn’t stay visible long after use.Installation/setup: Wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry. Use on grill, stovetop, campfire, etc. to cook food.Final thoughts: I’ve been wanting one of these for a long time, especially for use for fish on my grill. I’ve been using a sheet pan and it doesn’t heat evenly or hold heat well, which I expect this grill topper will. I love cast iron and this has a coating inside so I don’t have to pre-season it which will save time. I’ve only used it so far to cook toasted cheese sandwiches on my stovetop. It worked well and heated quickly, just be aware when using it on the stovetop that the hottest spots will be right over the burner. It gave me plenty of area and I was able to cook 4 sandwiches at a time, but I had to spin them around to cook them evenly on my biggest burner. It will work much better on my grill, which is what I got it for anyway.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

This is a very heavy (9 lb.) 12 inch x 12 inch griddle. I purchased it for camping, but have used it inside on my gas stove to grill sandwiches and get the perfect crust on grilled cheese and French toast. I have not tried it in the oven to sear meat yet, but that is next. Too cold for the grill the time of year.I like that it adds a grill/griddle to my kitchen or patio without having to buy a big griddle for just 2 people. At first I was disappointed the griddle surface was not traditional cast iron finish - I was ready to season it like traditional cast iron, however this has a smooth non stick surface. So far the surface does not stick and hand washes easily.I am anxious to see how durable the surface is and what it will look like in a year or two. Unlike cast iron, it advises you to “always preheat this cookware with oil, butter, or water and never heat your cookware with a dry surface”.
