This worked better than I thought. Really did the job that I needed and didn't cost as much as the other button pliers/ snappers I saw online. I plan on doing more arts and crafts with this and maybe a few button replacement as needed to clothings.

These are good snaps and the tool works well (even with other snaps that I was having difficulty with): I have not tried it with the plastic snaps, just the metals ones so far.However one major star deduction because of really unfriendly packaging: while there are separate little compartments in the plastic insert for the different colors, there was nothing to stop them all falling out and getting mixed up. So I spent the best part of an hour sorting hundreds of tiny snap pieces (four different pieces per color per snap): = very consumer unfriendly packaging. They could have just thrown everything into a large ziplock and put that in the plastic case.

This set has everything a beginner needs to add snaps to your project. I love that it comes with instructions that are easy to understand.

I didn't realize that everything would arrive loose, thankfully I had a bunch of old/unused empty travel balm containers that fit perfectly. The color of the tools doesn't match the image btw, here's a side-by-side they printed out on the manual right next to the real thing. As I sorted I discovered a few discolored and also pre-linked parts wouldn't come loose, mostly plastic ones. Fine, stuff happens, but the real kicker was how literally NOTHING was labeled correctly besides "male/female" button parts, so it'll be a matter of trial and error for me. So far haven't even had time to use it, but the tool is both solid metal (good!) but also somehow flimsy (bad!) So let's hope for the best

Used these for the snaps on my duck keychains I embroidered for a cruise. They held up so well. Will buy again

I have never used snaps before. They were always a little intimidating. I could cry looking at this mess that I received. The snaps could have been put in baggies before hitting the road. I don't know what these pieces are to even begin to separate them correctly. My instinct is to return it as is but I know this mess is just going to get resold to someone else exactly the way it is. The actual tool is somehow both heavy duty and flimsy. Purchase at your own risk.
