The stainless steel these are made of is too brittle and the female part of the snap has failed regularly. When you look inside the female snap, the male post is split all around. The ones that haven’t yet failed, they are on the way. I also needed to use a screwdriver to remove them because they were failing on a regularly. I am using them on a vinyl tank cover on my truck

Needed to replace a closure strap for a pocket door on an RV. Only needed 2 snaps but a measuring error required that I used 4. Fixed the problem. I would have had to have someone make it otherwise. Well made.

My dad sunburns easily but can’t find a sun hat he likes. I’m making him one with a snap-on/snap-off sun shade for his ears and neck. This kit came with everything I needed and worked easier than I hoped. Glad I chose these ones.

The snaps themselves are clearly cheap, but they will get the job done. Do not try to use the punch tools that it comes with if you value your sanity. Get yourself a squeezy tool - I think they only cost $10-$15 and it will be worth it.

It's a good little kit for adding or replacing button snaps and the tools themselves are fine (standard quality for leather working tools). I haven't observed any quality issues with the snaps themselves. You will need your own mallet (not a negative, just a heads up).My only negative about the snaps is that they are not truly "black", they are more of a gunmetal gray or "lightly powder coated" so if you are replacing a "black" snap you should expect to replace them all if you want them to look the same. Also keep in mind that "72 pieces" is "18 complete snaps" - the plastic box with the tools and snaps that arrived was just slightly larger than a business card. Some days I can do math, others not so much - I wasn't mathing well when I ordered it so I had a brief moment of disappointment with the tiny (heavy) box.Mine arrived with the plastic case broken so that it won't hold things in, it's pretty obvious it was banged up in transit because it was loose in the shipping box (and the shipping box was pretty banged up). Fortunately it didn't damage anything else in the order - it's quite heavy (for a tiny plastic box).

I needed a snap to secure my chore knife in its holster for daily use on the ranch. It’s very hard to find the perfect size fixed blade chore knife for everyday carry on the ranch. When I finally do find one, the sheath is always cheap and falls apart within a day to a week. I decided to just learn how to make them myself and did a lot of research in the evenings to prepare myself. As it turns out, it really ain’t that hard to make them and make them right! Anyway, I needed a snap to keep my chore knife secure while gettin in and out of trucks, tractors and UTVs, and also gettin on and of horseback. I ordered these and used em on my latest knife sheath. I had to trim up the leather a little to get a good secure fit, but these work pretty darn well.
