The pan is not molded from one piece but the divider is tack welded from a completely separate piece of metal, and the metal itself on the pan and divider is thin. For the price I was expecting something higher quality, this is an $8-$12 pan being sold for a premium $35~. The problem I ran into too is that the seam is not sealed, so the pan can both leak over time as well as trap food/bacteria in the seam, making it almost impossible to keep clean.Tack or spot welding is the first step in a typical weld process, this isn't fully welded and is basically an unfinished piece. A full seam and buffed weld would make a world of difference in the quality of the product.I returned mine.

Was excited to use this, but after cleaning the pot not so much. First, it was nearly impossible to remove the 2 stickers on the bottom of, they each tore and left tons of residue and glue. I had to use goo gone with a lot of scraping to remove it all. Then I tested out the divider by pouring water on one side and could instantly see that the visibly terrible welding job was going to allow leakage, which it immediately did. This does not seem safe to use as food will just eventually get stuck in these holes, which may stop the leakage but would most certainly trap bacteria in the nooks and crannies. Also, it defeats the purpose of having a divider to have 2 different soup bases for hot pot. Returning this ASAP.

Received my hot pot washed it and immediately made hot pot using my induction portable burner. FOLLOWED the instructions to the "T". It worked perfectly! No leaks, handles stayed cool. For the $ this hot pot was a good deal.
