Having to make the best out of a bad situation and rebuild an engine in a 20 year old car I lent out to people who brought it back to me with a spun bearing.. Who can afford to buy a new engine these days nonetheless in new car.. This is the best time then ever to learn how to rebuild an engine myself. Had to order new rings and bearings had to learn to polish the crank myself and hone the cylinders myself. This little tool along with some mineral spirits in a squirt bottle made it pretty effortless. And the cylinders look great. With the proper cross hatching.. Can't wait to hear this thing run!!.A little advice for the next guy don't pull the hone out while the drill is still spinning it will bend the shaft. The hone will still work but it'll wobble your elbows off. Stop the drill compress the hone tool and take out gently so you don't scratch the cylinders on the way out.. Hope this helps..

Used this to hone two 400ex cylinders and it worked great. No issues, some other reviews state the honing blocks may fall off but mine seem pretty well attached.

stones were gone after first cylinder and i only ran it for about 15sec and a 4.040 bore with honing oil. made a mess so plenty of oil but the stones did not last at all and it did not do a good job, my ball hone does much better.

It worked well enough until when I was finishing the basic hone of the sixth cylinder one of the stones came loose. But Yotoo is sending another whole tool .That is great customer service !

I used this to hone an old Jeep inline-6 and it got the job done reasonably well. If you just need to clean up the cylinder walls some then this works just fine.If you have a ridge at the top of the cylinder, then you really need a cylinder ridge reamer, or some proper machining. You *might* get away with using this to hone down that ridge, but it's going to take a while, and it's not the right tool for the job.Be sure you use some lubricant when honing, and watch your fingers for pinches with the spring loaded arms - I managed to pinch some skin in between the arm and the center portion of the hone tool when removing it from a cylinder and it pinched hard enough to draw blood. So be careful!Overall, if you need to actually hone your cylinders, then this should work fine. If you are hoping for an alternative to ridge reaming or proper machining, then that's asking a whole lot of this tool.

It was inexpensive and it done a great job honing out my cylinders. Did the job per my cars specs. I did have a issue with one of the stones falling off but super glued it back on and worked great.
