Tried to use this on soft maple and birch, both species of wood chipped out and the bit pushed the wood away, a sure sign of a dull bit. After using it on the soft maple, I assumed maybe the problems were caused by the wood. But now after trying it on birch, I'm convinced its a problem with the bit being dull after only shaping 20 running feet of wood. It's too unsafe to use at this point so I'll need to get another bit.

Bought this bit to build some doors for my kitchen. It made it through two sets of doors cutting the groove (long grain) in 3/4” poplar with no issues. But upon setting up my test piece to cut the tenons in the end grain of the rails the bit burnt immediately. If you plan to make more than 1 or 2 doors, do yourself a favor and spend the money for Whiteside or Freud. It would probably be fine for a while in soft wood, but it’s not worth it for hardwood. Now I have to put the project on hold while waiting for a new bit to arrive. I seriously challenge anyone who says this bit is carbide.

Pros - They cut clean, seem well balanced. Excellent packaging, I have other Yonico's and they all work well.Cons- No instructions but you can figure it out. Good value for the money.

This works pretty well for the money. It does take some time to get set up, but since I only plan on using it a few times, an inexpensive 1 piece bit made way more sense than buying a more expensive set that would take up a bunch of room afterward. It did have some slight burning on the cuts, but no tear out, even on end grain. The pieces also fit together perfectly during glue-up.

Does the job and is good value for the money, but the joints created aren't perfect. The male and female profiles don't quite match. Also we bought two of these because we dropped one and it broke. The other one that didn't break had one of the carbide edges glued on wrong, so we had to take the bit apart and use part of the other broken bit to make a complete, correct bit.

This router bit is a great addition to my grown collection , it saves you a lot of time not having to switch between two different rail and stile bits it gives you a accurate cut and fit for both stile and rail the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it takes a little trial and error on a few pieces of scrap wood to get it set just right they could have have included a router bit set up jig but for the price you really can't complain.once you understand how to set the depth and height for the bit you can actually make you own set up blocks and keep them for later use , that way all you have to do is insall the bit and raise or lower it until the set up jig slides into the bit profile perfectly.this is a good quality bit at a great price ...

Well made product if your router doesn't fall out of your router table and drop on the bit. It broke. Bought another one and was back in action. Easy to use once you figure it out. I still have to scratch my head every time I use it. Good product for the price. I have only had it about a month, but have used the heck out of it. Probably 25 cabinet doors, and don't have a problem with it. It for exactly 1/4 inch stock as the panel, I used my caliper and it is dead on.
