Ideal size for converting German 220v lights and decorations to US 110V, or vice versa. They are small and easily handle lights. The price is very reasonable as well.

Works! Ordered a shredder off e=bay, and it came w an EU plug! Tried two 'adapters', but the shredder didn't have dual power to bring US 120 to EU 220.Got this, and totally satisfied.

I actually had to order this twice as the first one had an issue with the 100V plug portion. There was a piece of bent metal that was hindering the plug to plug in.But, I decided to give it a try again and performed an exchange and all is well. I am going to chalk that one up to just a manufacturing defect which I understand does happen. Now that I have one that is fine, I will say this is a well built unit. It's heavy, and it works. I am using it for old vintage computers. I have tested a 240V European power supply from an Amiga and a MSX from Japan with 100V, and they work perfectly.500W was actually overkill for my needs, but it was cheaper to buy this with both types of connections available than buy something else.Very happy with the purchase!

I use this step up transformer to power our European 240V scanner from our 120V mains in NA. It is silent and draws so little quiescent power that I leave it on full time. It replaced a very big, heavy and noisy transformer that had to be switched off when not in use. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Se utilizo para un sistema de audio Home Theater Yamaha 220V y funciono perfecto. El cable no es muy largo. Buena relación calidad - precio.

I brought a rice cooker from Korea. This has been working great to use appliances that use 220 v.

I last bought a step-up transformer over a decade ago. This newer one is smaller, silent, completely cool to the touch despite being constantly run and has better circuit protection. In other words, an all round improvement for the same price. Recommended as a relatively unobtrusive solution to using your overseas electronics. Mine powers a Sony CD player that was purchased in the last millennium. Ymmv.

I had a couple of appliances follow me from the EU to North America, and this little unit allows me to run the EU appliances (power tools) easily in my workshop. It's a fairly heavy piece, and I've just tucked it away in the corner and run my cables to there. It works fine, and it allows easy use of non-standard plugs in North America.I'm happy with this product.

If you're considering this item because it's the top on your search results, scroll down a bit more. You get what you pay for, and for this price you will be the lucky owner of something that breaks within a few usages (it was a dud out the box for me, but see other similar reviews). The plugs also slip out very easily (see other similar reviews, which in hindsight I wish I'd looked at first). There is no grip at all, which is a very safe and reliable thing for, you know, conducting electrical power. Perhaps you could paint a face on it and pretend it's a robot imaginary friend, that's the most utility I can think of.

> Used to operate an Asian machine (plug type; I, power: around 200w) directly plug into the universal native adapter (220V output) without the need for another adapter. In SHORTBigger than I expected (allow a little space), but not excessive.Big PLUS (+)+ SOLID case and general manufacturing, professional, industrial quality (under all reserve). * Can easily survive the fall (on him) of a fairly heavy object or his own fall of a few feet (already experienced).+ The UNIVERSAL SOCKET adapter (out 220v) is perfect.+ The 220V to 110V REVERSE option is interesting, if necessary (US-CAN plug).+ SAFETY circuit BREAKER.* I didn't have to try the RESET button for the circuit breaker function, but everything looks professional.+ Industrial type electrical cord.GENERAL TIP, learned:> Allow at least 30% more power than your object to plug.*Example; OUT 500W for a device less than 333W, in order to stay in the electrical comfort zone (not in the red, over demand).> If necessary, try to find an electrical needs chart (in watts), such as the one that could guide the purchase of a generator for an RV.* 500W IS NOT the good one to choosing for a oven or others hot things (cannot work, as short), look for a model most powerful. If this is the power required for you, it was for me a good investment at a reasonable price (in the 2023 offer).
