As a retired nurse, and a caregiver yet today, I am amazed at the quality and usefulness of this transfer sheet. It works far better than the standard transfer board, much easier on the transferee and the transferor both, far and away the best method to transfer a patient into bed that I have encountered. Please be aware, however that if the patient is transferring out of the bed, and has been incontinent, the item will need cleaning every single time, the only downside I can see. We do want a spare in place for that eventuality, and we will need to see how it holds up durability-wise, too. Five stars + for now. Update: the first one worked to well that we purchased a spare and have used them daily with outstanding results to position in hospital bed and in/out of the automobile. Washing has been done on light-duty in washing machine - after nine-months some of the side seams are starting to fray sllightly unfortunately - YMMV.

It was advertised that it could be used as a turn sheet. It's way too slick for that usage.I'm sure if you need it for the other reasons advertised, it would work well.Definitely, don't use it under someone that will be sleeping on it. They will slide all over the bed.

U Tube videos have excellent videos regarding hip surgery suggestions. One of the therapist used this type of product to make it easier to enter and exit the car. I did purchase it, and it was extremely helpful.
