This cable does not work, it almost catches fire after a few minutes of use.

I use this as a variable power supply for Tyco brand HO slot cars. Works great. I can pump up the juice for adults, or drop it down so the kids don't put a car through a window. Price-wise this was exactly what I wanted.

I's a great power supply for the price, and Ive used a lot of low end power supplies. The only thing I didn't like was the cheap leads that they included with the power supply. Both leads failed, broke off. So I bought high quality leads to replace them.

This power supply is perfect for what I need it for. I rebuild jukeboxes and most of the parts work off of 30volts. I used it to test "Pin Banks" I have rebuilt to bench test them before installing them in the jukebox. Various record transfer motors run on 30 volts, along with even lower voltage light indicator circuits. It's a great piece of equipment to have on your bench. Very satisfied.

Compared to others I've used in the past, this one seems lightweight, figuratively and literally. Assuming there's no big transformer inside. If it fell off my bench it'd probably be toast. But I've used it intermittently without issue in the 12V range. The current limiter works as advertised and the voltage output on the display is accurate. I measured it against a calibrated VOM. Great value.

Works well. Great for the do it yourselfers out there. Tested the outputs all within spec. This will work good for small projects. Cracked open unit looked it over and checked the solder joints and wiring all looked good. No loose or bad solder joins.

This unit arrived on time, packing was excellent, and it was exactly as described. I've used this for a few days now, and I'm impressed with it. It's simple to set up and adjust; the voltage and current hold exactly where they are set. This will improve my workbench capability a lot with it's range of voltage and accuracy. One tip: keep an eye on the 'cc' and 'cv' led indicators to see which one is in effect--otherwise you might see some readings that look surprising. Their use is explained in the manual and there are numerous You Tube videos that illustrate how they interact.

Decent for the price. use it for my hobby station tested with my several voltage meters seems to be very accurate time will tell how she chooches. Cheap leads for supply lines as obviously stated before me but the will work for the time being. Great for students or hobbies or inventions and prototypes. I'll come back when she fails to chooch and give my overall analysis paid in full no kick backs or handouts right now I'm charging my old li-ion batteries with it but the uses are endless.

This power supply good for the money but has some flaws. The seller is more than cooperative and willing to solve any problems. The voltage source function works really well! And ive had no issues useing it for max current operations so far, but have yet to test it on max current for longer periods of time past a few minues. The current limiting function is where problems appear. It only opperates in current limiting when you are in a sweet spot that is never the current you desire. When you are not in this sweet spot it toggles back and forth between current limiting and voltage limiting. This creates a very noisy output of voltage peaks and drobs above the set voltage by around 1 volt. (2 volts vpp)As seen by an osiluscope. For this reason the current limiting feature is ideal for a safty, but unacceptable for sensitive electronic projects. The voltage control feature on the other hand is acceptable for fairly sensitive electronics from what I've seen. I also have not seen voltage spikes on the output when the unit is turned on.
