I love this thing, simple and effective. Feels well made and sturdy, welds look fine. I saw a review on here where someone bent the whole base on the first use. I honestly don't know how that's even physically possible since it pivots on a hinge. You'd have to go out of your way to damage this thing.

Wanted a V grip for narrow pulldowns or rows, and a landmine that could take both standard and Olympic bars, so it's hard to imagine beating this combo for the price(~1/4 to 1/3 what you'd pay for a name brand landmine alone). The landmine is lightly built, with some slop in the bracket due to loose tolerances-not perfectly square with the piece it screws into(it has to be able to turn from side to side, so can't be tightened all the way down, anyway). This does not impede its use, and people make homemade landmines with a piece of PVC pipe, so the lack of "rock solid" construction is not a practical issue, IMO.There were included anchors for mounting, but mine is attached to a plate tree that uses 2x2" tubing. It could just as easily be screwed to a board. We did "landmine" exercises for decades with the end of a bar just stuck in a corner, so this is more than fine. You can make up any number of goofy exercises for a landmine, though even the more legit ones that get past 45° can be pretty questionable due to the resistance curve, but they're fantastic for rows, and work well for belt squats with a suitable attachment. For anyone who doesn't know, the V grip can be used for t-bar rows(my favorite variation) with no attachments necessary. The V grip itself is actually quite nice, too, with good knurling and welds.I'd have been perfectly satisfied with either piece at this price point, so getting both makes this combo a fantastic bargain.

I have limited space on my rack, which is a Yoke anyway, limited floor space, and will not be mounting equipment to the walls.I like having a place for my 45’s and an extra barbell in addition to this unit being portable. It’s made well enough so far for home gym use.No complaints whatsoever and I have enjoyed the portability and utility for a lower price than some units that attach to the rack and take up vertical space.I’m a sucker for things that serve multiple purposes and so far this does not sacrifice performance to do so.Only giving 4 stars because it has not been used long enough to determine dependability and durability over time.

This landmine is affordable and strong enough for a veteran bodybuilder. I was able to anchor it under my power tower with no extra hardware. My TBar rows with it are 4-5 plates (250# or so) and it stays put. The way my gym is set up in a finished attic, I don’t have easy access to put the bar in a corner of the room and it’s all sheet rock and base trim I didn’t want to beat up, so I’d stash a towel against a door frame corner so as not to mar the wall. But this $25 landmine lets me do TBar rows in open space and I feel confident that it’s well anchored. Don’t get fooled by top brands (Ro__e, Ti__n) selling you a $75-$100 piece. This one is simple, effective and plenty strong.

Update: you can read original review below. This is an update after 5 years of use. I’m happy to say that after 5 years of use it is still going strong. I use it weekly and sometimes daily. I have beat this thing with the amount of exercise and weight I put on it and it’s still going strong. I lift pretty heavy weights on this, in the area of several hundred pounds regularly and no problems. If this thing ever fails, I will definitely be ordering another.I have been using both of these items for about two years now and they are still going strong. I primarily use the v-bar for doing bent-over landmine rows. The landmine itself can be used for so many different exercises. It has a great range of motion and I use it for both pulling and pressing exercises, i.e. rows or overhead presses. You can really get a full-body workout with these if you have a barbell and a few plates, or even just the barbell itself. I’m so glad I purchased this product and have gotten A LOT of use out of it. As I said, almost daily for about two years. It is very well constructed. I had to make a slight modification to it to fit my half rack by bending the the part that connects to it out a little, but that was easy. There’s many other ways you could attach this to something without making that kind of modification, but I want it attached to my half rack and it just so happened that what I was attaching it to was just a hair too wide. But I got it attached and it’s worked great since. Also, it accommodates both types of barbells, standard and Olympic.
