When you encounter the following problems, you may need a decoder.
✔.While you turn on the light after installation, both of headlights are flickering or one side is flickering.
✔.Dashboard error and show a “bulb out” signal.
✔.The bulb still keep lighting for a while although you have turned off the light.
✔.Lighting is every dimmed, not bright as normally.
✔.After installation one headlight works and the other doesn't.
✔.All of the Wrangler before 1989 must need the LED CANBUS.

these are suppose to stop the flashing of lights when they are in day time running, now installed, there is no day time running, no flashing, but also no lights, when turned on to full lights, you have full lights, just nothing in day time running mode

Zero stars would be more appropriate... this is the worst kind of product: Something where you spend the time to install it, put the car back together cuz it seems to work then have it end up failing within a couple weeks. Which means you're forced to go thru the whole process again with a new/better part. Waste of time & money

These work as intended and eliminated all the flickering in my led headlights. No issues as of last 2 months I can't said about durability time will tell.

Was not 100% sure these were needed but an online video said that the halo's have a tendency to flicker. Just to be sure, I purchased and they were truly plug and play. Super easy to install, the harnesses matched up perfectly.
