Bought this for playing top of the staff concert band cornet parts. It's a shallow, small rim, long shank mouthpiece, very suitable for a long (american wrap) cornet like a Yamaha 2310. The sound is clear, assertive and, well trumpety. If you can play on small shallow mouthpieces it could be what you are looking for. It's definitely not a typical brass band sound and probably not a substitute for your Wick 4B but it's a very useful tool. Arrived in a timely manner, well made with a good silver finish. I'm very pleased with it.
