I can't comment on functionality or durability but sizing is confusing. I ordered a large based on my shoe size that varies from 12-13 depending on brand. My ski boots are 2. I ordered these twi7.5. The first set came in and were way to big not fastening to my boots. The bottom of the trax were stamped L XL with the XL larger than the L. I thought an XL was sent mistakenly and returned in exchange for another large. I received another identical order again too big and stamped L XL. I'm not sure what the deal is with sizing and suspect I might actually need a medium but will look for this or something similar in a local store.

I learned of these from a fellow snow-skiing individual. I'd never seen them previously. They definitely protect my "Ski Boots' soles," especially when walking on cement, asphalt, macadam, as well as similar "more tough than my Ski Boots' soles, especially the heels." However be careful not to twist them as the front/rear portions are connected, yet not perfectly. If I accidentally "twist" them (front to rear sole portions; as when placing them into my Ski Jacket's pockets), I've noticed a bit of a "small rip" developing in the front/rear soles' connection's "rubberized plastic?" Yet I'd always recommend them so as to protect my Ski Boots' front/rear soles from "unnecessary wear" as I walk to the slopes from my vehicle. However they're much less expensive to replace than my "much more expensive" Ski Boots; even much less expensive than "repairing" my Ski Boots' soles. TY!

They work really well for walking in ski boots. I was able to walk more normally in these vs like a robot without them.Another advantage of the product is that they isolated the bottom of my ski boots to the ground eliminating the excessive wear and tear while walking to and from the parking lot. However, I do have some reservations regarding its longevity though. The material is not very elastic and with enough use they will eventually snap in the middle, which is the thinnest part. It’s a decent product for the price. Just make sure you buy it based on the measurements rather than the generalized size (s/m/l).

Easy to fit, and incredibly effective. The “rolling” walking feature is brilliant - doesn’t feel like I’m wearing ski boots! Used only for 4 days so far so can’t comment on durability but they seem well-made.

I never even bothered to put these on my boots. They are simply too big to fit in my pockets, too heavy to want to have them slapping me in my thighs all day, and they really stink right out of the bag. I’m sure they are easier to get on than other brands and they certainly look like they would do the job, but given the way I use these, they were a non starter for me. There are less expensive, lighter, more compact alternatives. If you leave them in a locker all day, they would be fine, but then you might as well bring walking shoes.

These boot tracks perform head & shoulders above the competition. They are relatively easy to put on and take off and have a slight rocker making it easier to walk when wearing. The plastic is also a little softer and more grippy providing good traction. Just don't leave these stretched on your boots in the off season, the plastic gets brittle and crumbles apart.

Having skied for the last 27 years walking around in ski boots was always the place I thought was my biggest chance of slipping over and actually hurting myself. I bought these SkiTrax before a trip to Austria this year and was super impressed with them. They really do add the much needed grip ski boots lack and also add a cushioned feel when walking. I thought they may have a tendency to slip off when applied to wet boots but no hint of that at all. A great thing to have in your back pack and makes that precarious walk to the toilets at lunch (which is always down stairs) that much safer. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I bought these after looking at the soles of my ski boots. I noticed they were getting worn down after a couple ski trips of walking from the condo to the ski lift. I did some research and realized how important the outside soles of your ski boots are to function properly with your bindings. Ultimately the reason I bought these were to protect my ski boots from getting worn down from walking on concrete and they do provide this protection. What I didn't realize was how they made walking in ski boots a million times better! If you have ever tried to walk in ski boots you know the pain and agony you go through. SkiTrax add a sole and help your foot almost rock from heal to toe as your walk. I wouldn't but I feel like I could walk a mile in these. Also, they are easy to take off and put in your backpack as you ski for the day. I will always uses these and highly recommend.

Oh, yes! That's exactly what I said when I put these on my boots back in the winter. I have a pair of Lange Banshee which do not have removable toe and heel sole covers. Which means that over the past few years, even with a lot of care and mindfulness on my part, the heel/toe sections have worn a bit. And since I like these boots and do not plan to replace them anytime soon, I decided it was worth preserving them. The SkiTrax fit very well--snug to put on, but they stay on the sole, without popping off. In addition, as some of the other reviewers mentioned, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they make walking in ski boots much more natural, as they simulate a slight rocking motion, akin to walking in hiking boots. Being able to walk through gravel parking lots to the slopes without worrying about the damage to my boots has been great. Since my boots are black, these blend in very well. They Trax also stow away in their own pouch (which goes in my backpack), or you can slide them in ski pants' cargo pockets (if you have them). Well worth the money!

Bought for my girlfriend who has always complained whist walking in ski boots, too slippy, uncomfortable, hard work etc. Even if I'm carrying her skis its too much effort. These have changed her life!!! Genuinely. The 'rocker' action make walking more natural, like normal shoes. It gave her a fair amount of grip on an icy slope. There a bit of a pain to get on, she really struggled on her own. In fact, I had to do it every time. (worth it for the peace and quiet!)The sizing is also something to be careful of, we originally bought X Small, they only just went on, with a lot of pulling. Despite the boots being the same size as the maximum guide states. We returned them and got the next size up which fitted better. Its also worth checking there on properly, we did lose one which was annoying, ice on the binding might prevent them going on each time.Over all, I wish I'd got these years ago.
