For our this item,we used fastening nut:

If the common nut is used, the product will be loose in use, which will bring safety risks. The fastening nut is an anti-loose nut, and the product will be more stable and not be loose in use.

This product is great for what I need it for. I am a 5”1 130lb woman so lifting heavy to me is 150-250lbs. This can hold the weight! It’s surprisingly very study and i will admit when I bought it I was skeptical.I have not experienced any wobbling like some of the comments mentioned. Only thing I wish is it had a lever vs the twist cap to higher or lower the bar holders. A lever would be easier but I just make sure I set up my workouts where I don’t have to change the height 10 times during the workout.I will say it was kind of a PITA to assemble. The instructions honestly were super clear, it was just tedious and time consuming. However when it was done, it was SOOOooooo worth it!I’d highly recommended! I’ve use it now for chest & triceps, back and biceps, shoulder and AB’s and legs ! And for the price you can’t beat it.

These are decent for someone starting out doing chest exercises and squats... maybe some shoulder stuff but the bars are atrocious to adjust... between exercises it's a nightmare... you literally have to undo the entire thing just to adjust for incline / neutral and decline bench presses... it's really annoying and cumbersome. It would have been much better if the design was better thought out because having to unscrew 2 knobs, take out the locking pins and then popping plastic protectors off every time you have to lower or raise the barbell holders is just garbage... wastes about 5 minutes of your time every time... they are sturdy and compact so I'll give them that, storage is easy but yeah, the utility of these things for making adjustments is just trash.

Written Instructions on putting this rack together need to be changed or the bolts circled in the picture I provided need to be shortened as they contact the floor when tightened up causing stability to be compromised this can be avoided by installing nuts/bolts backward (bot threads pointing up). Also welds are questionable.

You can build this. If I can build this, you can definitely build this. You will need tools to tighten the bolts. O'Reillys and AutoZone rent out tools FREE, if you don't wanna buy them or don't have them. I used:1 adjustable wrench1 17mm wrenchAs others have said, when putting the bolts in on the feet, you'll need to put them in from the bottom and have the ends come out the top (the opposite of how the manual shows to do) to make sure the bolts dont touch the ground. Also, the bench press arms (that will hold the bar when you bench press), slide them to the bottom, and don't screw in the side bolt until after you have placed your squat bar extender arms in and put their little metal pin thing in. After youve put the squat extenders in place with their designated pins, then screw in your bench press arm pieces.Basically if you want to adjust the bench press arms, its easy.If you wanna adjust the squat extender arms, youll need to first unscrew the bench press arm pieces, let them go to the bottom, then adjust your squat arms with their respective pins.I think I am gonna go buy 2 more pins to use with the bench press pieces instead of the screw in things since it's kind of annoying to have to unscrew and screw back in if youre working out with someone else and you need to change the height of the press or the squat rack. Its not a big deal though. This is a solid rack for the price and especially if you arent planning on adjusting the heights of the press or squat, it's not a bother, which is the case for me.I would probably get sand bags to weigh down the feet if you plan on lifting really heavy. I lift moderate weight and just nicely put the bar back on the rack without needing sandbags. As is, the item is great. I definitely recommend. Just know you're gonna need a couple tools to put it together, and if you lift heavy you'll wanna make sandbags. It's really solid and stable for my 5'7 self, on my wood deck, lifting moderate weight, not needing to adjust the height.

An adequate, steel-constructed, frame that will hold up to a "home gym" workout for many years. First, you're not buying high quality commercial gym equipment here for powerlifting. So I'm not reviewing this as a comparison to the rest of the heavy duty products out there. But, this product is perfect for my purpose. I have a multipurpose room in my home which includes a small gym. I like to do barbell bench and squats. I don't lift very heavy anymore so this is ok for the weights I use. I already had a bench so I was looking for a rack only. This product is perfect for that and came in at a very reasonable price ($100.00) well below all of the competition. I was a little skeptical of the price, but it is a solid and stable system, well put together. Easy to assemble, I did it alone in 30 minutes. You have to be sure to follow the directions and put it together right (put the right screws in the right holes)! I am 5'10" and this product has plenty of room under it when I'm lifting up the barbell for squats. Since there are two separate pieces, there is plenty of flexibility as far as set-up and storage. I put 150 lbs on a bar and racked it around 5' high. Then I also adjusted it and did a few bench reps, it handled it very easily. So, in my opinion, this system will handle around 200 lbs very safely. If you are planning on lifting in excess of that, I recommend a professional system and a spotter. I've lifted all my life and use to do very heavy weight. It's no fun rolling an olympic bars with 315 lbs down your chest to your stomach when you go to failure on a bench lift with no spotter. In summary, a well built system at a great price that is sturdy and stable for "home-gym" use. Came as advertised (described and pictured) within a few days of ordering with no delays. I am very happy with this addition to my little set-up.
