I have been using this item weekly for several months. It is easy to use and efficient. Since I use it to make bread flour I have not experienced and issues. The keys to its longevity, safety, and efficiency are don't overload the hopper, do not operate the grinder for longer than recommended, always brush out the inside of the grain hopper after each use.If operated for an extended period, it is a good idea to stagger the total grinding time into shorter intervals. The unit gets quite hot after it has been run for a while, so it is better to split up its operation into shorter times. It has thus far been very valuable to me for making fresh flours from different whole grains and is a money saver versus buying whole grain flours from a market.

This machine works wonder for those hard whole indian spices. The best thing is it saves time. I ordered 350g size and it grinds everything super smooth in under 10 secs. And I am talking about hard things like nutmeg or cinnamon sticks. I ground like maybe 10 or 12 spices in under an hour and to the smoothest consistency possible. In previous years, I had been using Coffee grinder for my Indian spices and it took the whole day as I used to do in small chunks. Hope this helps! :)

Used this machine for a day for about 20 min and the following week tried to use it, and it was dead. Over heated from the beginning! Extremely dissatisfied.

This grinder is very easy to use. Just take half a minute to grind the rice into fine powder. I’m very satisfied with this device

This grinder works great. It turns rice into flour in about a minute, and the included sifter means you can just run any grit with the next batch. However, there is one flaw with this device...peas. Thinking I could make healthier baked goods (like brownies), I grabbed an assortment of beans, lentils and peas, and proceeded to make half a dozen different flours. For the love of god, do not use pea flour in brownies! While my mind and tastebuds recover, I have a small batch of bean flour brownies about done. And honestly, I'm afraid to taste test any more.Good thing I have an ignorant brother. Will update after he gives them a try tomorrow.

I am so disappointed! I ordered for this product and it was delivered to my house July 12th and I have only used It twice by the third time I will use it on August 24th, it won’t work, won’t even start. I wanted to return it only to find that the return window was closed on August 11th. This machine is a disappointment. Do not purchase!!

This grinder is fantastic - the noise level was not shocking or horrendous (my regular old Oster blender is far worse) and it grinds to an incredible powder. Be sure to consider the size/volume you actually need before choosing as it could be really frustrating if you choose one that is too small for your needs - you do NOT want to over fill the container. Also might be a good idea to have a kitchen scale handy to double check the weight of what you want to grind. (The motor really does heat up and it really does need a rest to cool a bit between grinds.)For safety the instructions say to unplug the unit before opening the lid. - a good habit to get into not only for safety (can't imagine the damage that could be done to flesh & eyeballs) but it would make a mess no one would want to clean up.Hmmm... I have only used it for grinding oatmeal so its possible the noise could be worse if using to grind grains, I'll try hard to remember to follow-up on this point when I use it for that.I strongly recommend purchasing a better disposable paint brush or use a brushy pastry brush (not the silicone BBQ type) for the cleaning process. The one that is included wasn't worth hanging on to b/c the bristles kept falling out. The cheap bristle paint brushes found at the hardware store (1½" or 2" should be fine) are pretty much the same thing but made much better. Consider getting one of those, give it a wash with dishsoap, let it dry thoroughly, and you'll be good to go when your grinder arrives.

I'm sure the lubrication within the motor is the cause of the odor, but the grinding carafe is clean. Holy crap, wear ear protection or leave the room. I grind for 1 minute, hard white wheat, makes great flour and it's amazing having truly-whole-grain flour. You can't get flour like this in the store because they remove a portion of the kernel to increase shelf life. The hulls aren't ground as fine, so you can easily sift them out with a regular sifter. I leave them in since they offer increased fiber, protein, and texture (I've heard soaking them after grinding helps to prevent cutting of the gluten strands).

I researched many of the stainless grinders, many of which appear to be made by the same company, and chose this particular model mostly for price reasons. When I received the product, it was well packaged, and much larger than expected. I was overwhelmed by the polished stainless steel and appearance of high quality, especially for the price. I have used it numerous times grinding dried corn into corn meal and it worked excellent. I can't say enough about how nice this item is. Since I have not used it that many times, I unable to say much about it's longevity, but I don't see why it won't last a long time. I feel it is a nicely made product and am very pleased with it and would recommend it.
