A Y-shape Strap Adjustment Could Be the Relief You Need!

The chiropractors believe in the Y stretching strap adjustment as a effective way to reduce spinal compression and relieve pain. Like hands-on spinal decompression, the cervical traction harness tool alleviates pain in the neck, spine and upper back by decompressing the vertebrae of the spine gently. The pressure between the vertebrae is released, which increases blood flow in the previously restricted areas. The blood provides nutrients and nourishes the deprived tissues.

Here’s how the tool works:

1.The bottom of the Y-shape strap is secured around the back of the person’s head, securely at the base of the skull.

2.The strap is cinched in the middle through a special adjuster, which creates a Y-shape at the top portion of the strap that leads into the handgrip.

3.The chiropractor grabs the handgrip with both hands and positions the strap up and away from the person’s body.

4.The strap is gently, but firmly, pulled away from the person’s body to decompress the spine.

Disclaimer: The Y stretching strap decompression tool is recommended to be used by advanced professionals. As other stretching tools and procedures, the Y-shape spine strap has the potential to injure you or others when used improperly.

My chiropractor recommended I try this and it helps some. It is meant to be tensioned by someone else so you have to be creative if using it alone. I have a pinched nerve from an osteophyte on one side T1 and gentle traction is indicated. Just enough to pull the weight of my skull off the area but not so much that I involuntarily guard (tighten) while I hold still/rest for awhile. It takes some trial/error to position right. If I fall asleep, I awake with numb ears.I am an engineer and a physician and I sought professional consultation. I am not sure how often the average person will make effective use of this.

Good quality material that the strap is nice and thick. It's easily to use as long as you have someone else to help you with it. It hold on my head nice and tight. Work well

This strap works great for a gentle stretch in the neck. I don't recommend an aggressive pull unless you are a professional who knows how to carefully perform traction. I've seen plenty of videos of chiropractors quickly snapping a strap like this. I don't recommend that, unless you are a chiropractor. Overall, great product, if used properly.

This is not a bad device to stretch the neck. Obviously, it needs a second person, and that person has to be careful with the pressure applied, or more harm than good can be done. The strap is not tremendously comfortable, as the material is kind of rough. It's really easy to seat it badly and cause more harm than good. Constant communication is critical. But, when used correctly, gentle stretching can really help with neck and upper back pain.

Good quality, it is a simple device but really helpful to adjust necks using this particular type of treatment.
