I bought this for a pool. Easy to use. Floats. Great and easy to read the thermometer. It says not faded in the Sun yet. And it's very sturdy and durable.

Edit: After posting my review about the thermometer being broken, I was contacted by the seller. They immediately resolved the issue! They have great customer service!I purchased this on May 30, 2024. In less than six weeks, the thermometer has become detached from the scale. This makes it impossible to read the temperature. There isn't any way to reattach it to the scale without breaking the tube.

The turtle is an accurate thermometer--at least as verified by two other thermometers. The little cord that comes with it might work ok in a placid hot tub, but it is too short and too weak to be much use from, say, a dock in a lake or even a swimming pool. Best to remove it when not in use to minimize need to clean/wipe off the bottom of it and the glass tube that holds the gauge/numbers.
