XTUGA 2 Way Stereo Crossover

  • Crossover audio commonly used in audio equipment such as PA systems, amplifiers & speakers.
  • Working Principle: Separate the input audio signal into different parts such as treble, midrange and bass, and then send them into the corresponding high, mid and bass speakers to play.

Advantages :

  • Crossover can provide different speakers with the optimal operating frequency they each need, protecting the speaker equipments.
  • Because any single speaker can not be perfect to the sound of the various frequency bands of the complete presentation, after the crossover, can make the tone more layered, optimize the sound quality

As a Professional Stage & Lighting Technician, Sound & Studio Engineer, Professional Audio-Visual Production Specialist and Musician I work with a lot of PA Systems for our Live Sound Production! That's why I have to admit that I was Very Very Pleasantly surprised at how well the XTUGA Audio Crossover worked! For those of you who are unfamiliar with a 4 - Way Crossover, this allows us to split an audio signal into four distinct frequency bands, allowing each band to be directed to a separate speaker driver, like a tweeter, midrange, woofer, and subwoofer, to accurately reproduce a wide range of sound frequencies across different parts of the speaker system! As you can imagine this unit plays a key role in making sure that the correct signal range goes to the appropriate speakers in a complex Live Sound Reinforcement System!I replaced this unit in one of our Live Sound Systems and it performed extremely well for a brand name that I'm unfamiliar with! It was super easy to use and had no problem making sure that the appropriate frequencies were allocated to the correct speakers (tweeter, midrange, woofer, and subwoofer)! The Audio Quality was excellent and I could hear no difference between this unit and our more expensive ones!!I have to admit that it stood up to our other Cross Overs that are almost 3 Times the price of this unit! Based on Ease of Use, Functionality, Construction, Metal Chassis, Cost Effectiveness and the fact that it only takes up a Single Rack Space I have to say it looks like we're definitely looking at a Five Star Product!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Placed this in my semi-portable rack to tame my subwoofers. It takes some experimenting to dial in the specific crossover settings for the sub and monitor amps (I use three separate Crown power amps for house, monitors, and subs). The phase control on a unit this affordable is a nice feature to have for attuning the PA and instrument amps to the venue. So far, im only using the mono 4-way mode allowing control of input gain (with a low-cut if desired), and output control of low, low-mid, high-mid, and high from unity to +6 nominal gain, each with an independent phase inversion option. The knobs feel solid with a detent at each increment. The product images would lead you to believe that there is an LED indicator marking the knob position, but this is not so. However, there is plenty of contrast on the face plate and a raised white line to indicate the setting. However, there are LEDs for the Low cut, Xover fq, Mode (mono/stereo), and Phase Inverters. The painted face plate is set back far enough from the knobs that wear from hand rubbing shouldn’t be an issue. This unit is sturdily housed and rack mountable with an actual 110V 60Hz power cord. There is no power switch, but I reckon most users would be plugging into a switchable power supply. The back panel is clearly marked for each of the three possible modes and accommodates various output configurations. No idea how this will hold up over time, but the non-electronic components are as good as the brand name products, so I’m hopeful the solid-state stuff follows suit.
