I bought this to boost water pressure to three large sprinklers that I use to water our outdoor horse arena. The pressure from the single spigot just wasn't enough. The pump builds pressure and maintains it so that all 3 sprinklers are pushing a strong, steady, stream of water. Works better than I could have imagined. I adjusted the pressure setting up slightly, very easy to do.

Item was used previously because marks of dry mud was splashed on it and looked muddy water down inside the suction hole. Though maybe they test item before shipped.Installed and turned ON it will not star and hummed only. Turned off and verified if we had anything done incorrectly. (All good)Turned pump ON again and just about 30 seconds it came ON, used with clean water from a 275 gallon tote I have. Worked normal without any issues for about 200 gallons and quite working.Went thru the manual instructions and could make it work. Send it back finally for my refund.I regret not send it back as soon as I opened the item, sense was showing been used.

Our water pump went out suddenly. The pressure switch that turns it off and on failed. I was still able to pump water with it by bypassing the pressure switch to water our horses. So I risked a couple days shipping time to get this pump and saved about $50. This style pump is the easiest to install and is universal in its installation to many other similar pumps. Just connect it with plastic hoses and prune it with water. Came pre-adjusted and it really fills a 6 gallon bucket fast.

I set this up to water the garden in a hurry. Quick to prime, great volume very pleased. About to put it away for winter. It has been sitting in the boiler room for the winter put it back in where it was last summer hooked up all the lines and can not get it to prime no matter what I do. I will have to take it apart and find out what has failed. The suction pipe is clear ,the foot valve is working and I am about ready to throw it in the dump. Lot of money for two months work.

I had to put 1 star because I was unable to even use it because as I was getting it primed and set up it started leaking between the motor and manifold with the inlet and outlet.UPDATED (08/18/19): I upgraded this to 3 stars as I received a new one and it works. I must say there is no way this is 1.6 HP. It works, it was inexpensive, but more expensive pumps that have 3/4 HP motors I think produce more. I will have to take a 5 gallon bucket, fill and time it to see. I will update once I have done that. But for the price if it breaks it isn't back. But I wanted the 1.6 HP for an irrigation system and I can barely run 2 sprinklers on it so I am disappointed.

1st. Works with my 2.5kw solar system!2nd. It charges the tank in les than 5 seconds.3rd. Super quiet operationI had my doupts about this product because of some of the feedbacks I read, but I took my chance and don't regret it. Very powerful and responsive to water presure drops.I was looking for a pump that would replace my old one and would work with my solar sistem and I found it!!!I might add a 20gal pressure tank to increase the water capacity so it takes longer to start.
