This was OK, not as sturdy as another product I found. I wouldn't put anything heavy on it, as it's kinds small. I also don't like the clip on it as it can get caught on lines and other things while diving. I used some shrink tubing to lock the clip in place and prevent it from opening to be safe. Put a simple key ring on the clip end so it could still be used.

Had a much pricier version from aqualung to hold my console. Eventually it quit and I bought something local for an upcoming trip. Got home with the local one and it was not strong enough to hold the console. Ordered this and it was the charm! Never had to worry about it on the dives.

This thing will not support your mic if you’re looking for a gear keeper

This is a great product and works as intended. Make sure to compare to the item weight you are attaching. Be aware that it only has 2.5oz of retraction force. If your flashlight or any other item weighs more than 2.5oz in the water it will extend and fall. If your item is more than 2.5oz out of the water then it will extend when on the boat, etc. My flashlight was too heavy out of the water and it would fully extend the retractor. Dropped a star since it mentions consile in title. It won't hold a console up. Also, I'd prefer if they designed a locking mechanism for the carabiner. This design could be dangerous in clipping into something unwanted.

the line retracks easily and smoothly, the clip is very small even to clip and unclip with my skinny fingers,(not in water)it is ok; it could be a problem for people with fat fingers/wearing gloves/doing it underwater. It retracts well there maybe not a necessity to unclip underwater. Bottom line: it works for me.

Not strong enough for my Tovatec 400 light. I don't understand why it can't lock either. Seams like the size would be right but it's just weak and embarrassing like a snowflake.

I originally gave this product a five star rating because it worked perfectly for what I needed it for. To hold an analog compass on a retractor that I could keep in my BCD pocket. Unfortunately it’s stopped retracting after two fresh water dives. Leaving the Compass unable to retract and all the line hanging loose. Don’t need to be fighting a tangled line while diving. Very disappointed with this product. Into the trash it goes.

I use it as a badge holder. I’m constantly scanning my self through the building. For what I’m using it for I couldn’t ask for any better.
