Cette trancheuse à papier est de super bonne qualité, robuste, angle de coupe droit et la superficie est de bonne dimension pour couper de grands cartons. je la recommande qualité prix.

This cutter is extremely poorly designed. The top flat edge doesn't sit inlayed, meaning whatever you're cutting gets pushed under it, defeating the purpose of the flat edge.Secondly the bar doesn't go all the way to the edge to the blade, so if you're cutting smaller stuff, it can get pushed onto an angle.Wild how these two major flaws made it past the design phase and into production.

I don't know about commercial grade, but it is sturdy and sharp. My complaint is there is nothing to grip the paper and the blade tends to pull paper in as it cuts making a curved cut.Other designs of this type have a strip of clear plastic by the blade which you can use to grip the paper and also measure widths.I regret persevering with this instead of returning for a rotary cutter.

X-acto was great in helping us resolve a delivery issue we had with Amazon. We received the product at our library and LOVE it. it cuts square and it cuts easily. Thank you!

This is one of the solid heavy paper cutters that you would remember as a kid that felt like it might take a finger or two! We do landscape plans and this thing is exactly what we needed

I have loved using this paper cutter. It's accurate, easy to use, and can cut a few layers of cardboard at once. Of course it's not light - I don't have a clue why that's a category for this item. You get what you pay for, and quality paper cutters need to have some heft. The only *minor* issue I have is that when it's time to put the item away you can cut yourself from holding it on the blade side as the blade extends longer than the base, (not with the feet, just longer than the base), so I cut my finger the first time I put it away. Simple to avoid and haven't had any issues otherwise.

This is a long term durability review as it was bought September 2018.Before this purchase I setup small jig whereas I had a table top with set ruler and by using a razor blade I cut what I needed. My jig sort of worked however it was time consuming and sitting there doing cut after cut was getting annoying and using scissors was just not going to cut it. (sorry for the pun)The local shops had similar to this guillotine type trimmer however those typical stores cost $300 + easy for the 18" x 18" size we bought from Amazon. The best part is that this has the X-ACTO brand name so I knew that I was going to get quality. I know this is a quality name from my schooling days as well as office job days since this was the brand name they all relied upon for such devices. We've used this a few times each week over the past year and have absolutely zero issue with any piece or component of this trimmer. The 'stay sharp' feature must work as it cuts like day 1, no pages torn or ripped but always a nice crisp edge left. The 18" x 18" size fit out needs nicely as at times we had various documents larger than average. We were looking at the 24" x 24" but that was too large for us.Before this I had seen 'value budget' type trimmers, had tried in stores as well as viewed their price points. The results of those budget type trimmers were nowhere near the quality of cut in this device. I would easily consider this commercial grade. The heavy wood platform has held up extremely well and has resisted scratches and dings. Not that i would recommend this for what I have done, this trimmer has also cut metal sheets, metal hobby crafting sheets. I've used this for SOFT metal such as copper and aluminum in 20 gauge and above. Yes, this does work and it cuts paper like a hot knife in butter for the next cut !I took a couple pictures. In the first picture I quickly cut a sheet of paper a number of times less than 1mm width. If this trimmer can do this, cutting less than even one mm width over and over I'd say that is darn accurate. I didn't even try hard either. If I did actually try I'm sure I could easily make that sheet of paper look like a pile of rice vermicelli noodles. Now it boils down to if we recommend this...whole heartedly that would be a yes. (sorry for the pun again)Helpful, is how I hope you find this review.

At first I loved this - sharp, cut like butter, could easily handle my work load as an artist. It's cut over 1,000 of my art prints... however, over time I noticed that it wasn't straight. I cut business cards for myself that require straight lines... It's off by 1-2 cm with every cut. Almost like the top metal bar that lines up the print is off by a hair. I don't know who to reach out to about this, because I need the cutter replaced with a straight one. If customer service reads this, will you please reach out to me? Thank you!

This is an excellent paper cutter. The first one I bought on Amazon had a strong odor of either the oil used to lubricate the cutting hinge, or something used to treat the rubber feet. I returned it and got another one and the smell is much less intense. This paper cutter works very well, cuts clean, square cuts in all sorts of material. I've had numerous high end paper cutters and this one is the best for sure.

VERY good blade and easy to use.I probably should have purchased a larger size, as I work with 13x19" paper, and ASSUMED (oops) That I could easily remove the top bar for when I needed to do long cuts.Instead I'll likely have to upgrade, and will just sell this or donate it. In the mean time, however, it serves it's purpose very well. I use it to cut chip boards and canvas, and don't have any problems!

Good quality product. It came on time and in mint condition. Intelligently designed and simple in the best way. The only drawback is the cutting capacity. I've cut card stock on it and anymore than 5 or 6 sheets and the cut quality is destroyed. When over 5 or 6 sheets you get hairy edges, curved cuts and sometimes it doesn't even cut, just bends the paper. I understand that it is not designed for that type of cutting but the descriptions on most of the table top cutters are very quiet about capacity in an almost dishonest way. It seems that in the desktop guillotine market there is no middle or at least none that I could find. There's no 40 page capacity cutter. It's almost like it's either 2 or 200. If you want to cut 25 pages at once (i.e. making a quality magazine mock like I often do) you have go a little overboard and get something industrial that has a 200 page capacity.

Okay, not sure how many folks are in the market for a commercial quality paper cutter, but if you are you will not be disappointed. Our need arose because the school our daughter teaches at could not afford a Paper Cutter, and yet purchases paper in large sheets to save money. The teachers therefor were taking the time to cut their paper to size with scissors. This purchase changed all that and the school now has a tool they can be proud to own and use.

I first tried the Swingline ClassicCut Ingento CL520m-1152 and the Premier original Green Board, Model PREW18, and returned them immediately, writing reviews at amazon with the reason for my returns. Then I got this one, thank goodness! It is solid, it is attractive, and it cuts very accurately. I hastily cut the four sides of a new piece of paper, and the the square was perfectly true. The safety lock is on the side, not in the way, and can easily be put on with the same hand you are lowering the blade with. A previous X-Acto had very confusing lines, both inches and centimeters, on the grid, but this one is perfectly clear. The centimeter markings are at the top and bottom, with the inches in the middle. You do have to hold the blade toward the left if you are cutting more than a couple of sheets, but that is a common issue with paper cutters. All in all, I love it, and am so glad I persevered until I found a good one!!!
