I had to.modify the Pins or guides for it to fit for My Mazda 3 hatchback Trunk but it worked just fine once it was installed

Has wrong grooves to slide into hole. And wiring is too short for hatchback.

Replacement part for my mazdaspeed3, It fit for the most part, had to modify it a bit to get installed, The part has functioned properly for the past two months. Price was cheaper than the auto parts store

It works and the connector is correct. It is not the correct fit for a 2011 Mazda 3. With no modifications it will not fit. The grooves to insert it are different. It protrudes awkwardly even after lots of modifications to the plastic housing. I cut it up trying to make it work and although it fits now and works I’ll just have to buy an original one or go to the junkyard.

The protruding notches around the housing of this button did not fit my 2010 Mazda 3, despite Amazon verifying it would. With a little filing I made it fit and it works great.
