Used on science projects and always good to have spares just incase.

The board was easy to use with my Raspberry Pi and a 24V DC motor. The solder quality was a bit poor on some of the screw terminals. When testing my motor, everything was going well until I changed direction at full speed -- the motor stopped, and I could no longer get the L298N to power the motor. I switched to the other side of the L298N (side B), tested again, and had the same issue happen when I changed direction at full speed. There's some current or voltage spike issue with a 24V motor trying to do this rapid change of direction. Either (a) use a lower voltage motor if you need to change direction quickly, (b) stop the motor in your code before changing direction, or (c) find another controller capable of larger voltages/currents with protections built in.

The L298N stepper modules are well made and of good quality. Took only minutes to program and configure for use. The circuit boards are soldered well and the boards print is easy to read. They certainly do the trick.

Poor documentation. This part may be so generic that it is assumed the user knows how to wire inputs labeled In1, In2, In3 and In4. What are these or am I to assume?

I recently acquired this L298N Stepper Motor Dual pack and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. This H-bridge driver dual comes with two pieces, which was perfect for my project needs. Firstly, the motors work exactly as advertised. The setup was straightforward, and I had them running without any hassle. The dual H-bridge design is particularly useful for driving a pair of DC motors or a stepper motor, providing plenty of control options. The pricing is another highlight. It’s well-priced, offering great value for money, especially considering you get two pieces. It’s an affordable solution for hobbyists and professionals alike. In terms of durability, the build quality seems solid, and I’ve had no issues with overheating or malfunction, even after extensive use.
