On when not depressed, off when pressed. Use for automatically turning on/off lights when truck bay door is opened/closed.1 month later, buying another one. These aren't very durable.....

It's great. You'll need single prong "bullet" connectors if you're installing from scratch. Its easy! Let's power pass through when button is in out position. Worked great to give my dad a dome light back in his old 68 Ford Pickup. I'm 43 and hes had that truck almost as long as me. Lol. He just refuses to give up on it!
