This light is big, but very bright. Very very bright. It’s also all flood, and if you kick it up to full and use it against a wall, if it’s not a super dark surface expect to be blinded. You also really need to be conscious of where you are pointing it. Even looking back on it from 20’ is pretty blinding.

My husband couldn't get the flashlight open to put the batteries in.

It came with a charging chord for the batteries, but no actual battery charger which made me feel awkward. Light is very bright which is what I was looking for. Only thing is it lasts about 30 min on full power before it slowly loses its brightness.

Having completed 5 dives now with the torch I can attest to its battery life easily last 50 minute dives up to 18 meters without a problem. The switching ring is great and easily changed with gloved hands, but if you get stuck in-between settings while changing the light will be turned off. Not a problem just catches you off guard if you're not expecting it.My handle needed to be tightened and I added lock tight as I found at depth it came loose but an easy fix. Compared to other torches such as my orca torches its colour is much better and clearer under water.Much brighter than any of the other torches in my dive club and for the price can't be beat for price to lumen ratio.the beam pattern on this is much more floody than I expected which I prefer for diving, you might prefer otherwise. If you're wanting more throw there are other options from wurkkos.highly recommend if you're looking for a coke can sized torch

The perfect Flashlight. I have always wanted a flashlight to have, best of both worlds. wide beam to light up my surroundings and distance. tried many, I spend all of my free time on the river and lakes. Going through the woods, I need to see a wide view and distance. I also wade in the water and I have dropped my flashlights and water proof and Tough is a must. I wanted a flashlight to be able to withstand harsh weather. The bulbs and batteries are the Key here. You have the XHP50 a new generation of Cree XLAMPs that incorporate its innovative SC5 Technology™, a platform that doubles the lumens, or light output, of a single LED. 6 of them. Batteries are the the New Generation 21700, 3 of them and are highly available and serious performance. My friend bought a very nice flashlight, one that I would own myself. He and I couldn't find any good 26650 in stock, there fading out. so what good is a flashlight if you cant get batteries for, yes there are a lot of cheap no brands and are not worth the purchase of them. I have 2 flashlights now using 21700 batteries and will own more with these batteries. I strongly recommend the Molicel 21700 P45B Batteries. This flashlights Mechanical Switch is a God send. 3 modes, Low, Medium and High. Wow. Turning the mechanical dial is precise and firm, strong positive clicks, the way it should be. When holding the light, you know you have something special and of High Caliber. I cant comment on the run time of High Mode yet, but I am impressed so far. the pictures shown were in total pitch darkness, this light gave me the Wow Factor. Medium mode is satisfying and plenty bright and will give you a good 2 hours plus run time with High Drain batteries. The charging port is solid, and I have not had any problems using my different brands of USB C cords. This is a big plus, believe me, my friends new flashlight must use the cord that comes with it and use there batteries, reminds me of Apple in the day. He learned the hard way and returned it.

A very powerful flashlight with a very simple and easy to use user interface. 3 modes, low, medium and high selected by a rotating ring. Even the low, listed as 1000 lumens, is powerful enough for 90%+ of normal flashlight uses as it is far brighter than a classic 4 or 5 D cell Maglite of years ago and has a claimed run time of over 6 hours with the included batteries on the low setting. The charging port is hidden under the aluminum tail cap so is much better protected than the tethered rubber caps on most USB chargeable flashlights. If you need more run time then get a spare set of batteries as this light uses individual replaceable 21700 batteries rather than a proprietary battery pack. Keep a spare set of charged batteries and you have over 12 hours of light available.Being a dive light rated for 100 meters water resistance this should make a excellent emergency light when the weather turns against you. It should ignore rain or inadvertent submersion and the quite wide flood beam reveals the terrain in front of you much better than a very narrow tunnel type beam in my opinion. The light appears to be quite solidly constructed and actually is a couple of ounces heavier than a Acebeam X50 2.0 that I have compared it to. At maximum light output both are overkill for most users and uses but that also means long run times at reduced brightness levels.

Very bright, wide-angle, with a nice built-in charging interface on the back. But... because it is so powerful, it overheats if used outside of water. After one hour it is literally too hot to touch, let alone hold. So, use it only for diving! Also, the run time at the mid-power is just under 1.5 hours starting with full batteries (then it goes to the low mode and soon shuts down). Not 2.25 hours as advertised. If you only go for a short dive it is okay, but it matters for me because I usually go for 2-3 hours lobster diving. Why did they make it to hold just three 3200 mAh batteries? There is probably enough room for four 5000 mAh ones. THAT would have been a dream flashlight!

Use: Night diving (lobster). This light has performed pretty well. It is a solid light, a bit on the large size and weighs a ton! (Actually, on my scale almost 2 lbs). The lowest setting is almost too bright for me, the medium setting way too bright, and the high setting will allow you to signal the man on the moon. I have run this (at low) for up to 4 hours at a time over multiple dives (3-4) and it has not discharged. I charge it just because it "seems" like its time. So, I do have hours of use and dropped/crashed it into the rocks underwater. I have treated this rough, like all dive gear is treated. No issues yet, but I think sooner or later I will likely break/shatter the lens, which of course is not the lights fault, that would be my fault.
