Impressed with this. A lot more sturdy than I expected. The bolts that came with it would probably be fine but I got some 3 inch concrete anchors just to be safe. Very easy to assemble

Easy to install on either wood or concrete. Very professional looking with high quality parts and finish. This is much easier than building your own.

I installed these onto brick steps. Few things to consider:- based on many other reviews, I bought 1/4in x 2.25in Redhead anchors to install. These worked well, but I did need to mark each hole one at a time since there is very little room for error in the mounting hole size.- it is unlikely that both the top and bottom vertical posts will both be sitting perfectly flat due to the adjustable nature of the design. I bought a pack of steel shims to account for this difference.Overall these feel sturdy enough, and serve the intended purpose as an assistant rail for someone less mobile.

Bought this to assist 87 year old dad to get down 2 stairs on patio. My husband installed fairly quickly- the rail is sturdy. It isn’t fancy, noticeably different look from our wrought iron railings. However was a quick fix for his need and looks clean. Nice wide rail to steady oneself- easy to grip.

This review is not so much about the quality, brand, or design of these steps, tho I will touch on those issues a little too. It's more about the sheer difficulty of securing these rails to concrete steps. First, unless the concrete you have is the consistency of butter or dry wall, there is NO WAY you are going to be able to use a hand drill to drill your anchor holes. Maybe an impact drill will work, but you are really going to need a hammer drill. There is a reason why the cheap drill bit that comes in the kit has 4 slots at the base. It is designed for a hammer drill for a reason. I still had to go to Lowes to buy a better drill bit so prepare to tack on another $15 onto the price of these steps at least. Thank God my brother-in-law had a hammer drill. Otherwise, the job would not have been completed. I would have had to buy or rent a hammer drill to install these rails. Second, beware of the horrible concrete anchors that come with this rail kit. They are flimsy & cheap so be warned. Third, there is no way you can get away with pre-drilling your anchor holes first and then expect the rail base plate holes to line up. Not going to happen in a million years. We had to bore out all 4 holes of each metal base plate first, using a metal drill bit. We then positioned each base plate on the concrete then drilled the holes from the top of the anchor plate with the hammer drill. The anchors were pushed into the holes from the top of the metal base plate and then secured by tightening the anchor nut. Attacking this step from the bottom of the base plate was absolutely futile. Lastly, the base covers for the columns are cheap plastic. They look terrible, like plastic would against nice black powder coated metal rails. They should have been made with the same metal too. Anyway, they are up. And they are sturdy. And they will serve the purpose for our homeowner's insurance company that is sucking us dry with inspection infractions like step rails. Good luck with the installation! It took 2 people 2 hours for mine.

So I ordered 2 of these for our Ioading dock at my work putting them together wasn't to bad a little confusing but I worked thru it the quality seem good we will see after a while outside I'm holding back a star because the hardware is ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE the included masonry bit was to awful bad did what it was supposed to the anchors GARBAGE they don't work well at all IHad to run to Lowes and purchase better one you would think that would be something they wouldn't want to skimp on but they did when the hole is drilled and you go to tighten the nut down they just spin and don't grab like an concrete anchor is supposed to definitely a decent product andbi think they will serve the purpose
