I bought these so I could wear my watch when I hopped on my one wheel. It that aspect it works fine. The fit is overall nice but the straps are wierd. The top strap is extra long, which is fine, nit the wrist strap is super short. Only about 1/4 " of velco actually engages. I got a large, based on palm size. My arm, where the strap goes, is around 7.5". If your arm is wider than that I'd look elsewhere.I can't speak to how well the protect but the plastic seems solid and not brittle and the gloves are comfy with a little padding in the palms.

There is a weak spot that adventurally broke with the screw attachment, but protected palm and even now that the piece is broken it still works

I got back into rollerblading after a break that started in the 90's. I don't heal as fast as I used to, so these are a must.

These just fit my large hands. They are very comfortable and protect well. These are much better than the wrist guards with the metal splint that jabs into the palm of your hand. Well cushioned, lightweight, and allow your hands to breathe. Very little interference with holding your skateboard, or grabbing the coping. If you're going to take a spill, these are a total hand saver.

I use them for indoor rollerskating (NOT DERBY, dance skate), and the scuff marks that are on them are a testament to how much pain they've saved me from. They absorb falls comfortably, and I don't have issues with them bruising my wrists at the bottom. They allow my wrists to move better than my pair that came with the Magic 8 pads from target, and they adjust nicely in 2 places for comfort. A guy I skate with has the exact same pair, and we both wear them every time the skates are on.

I took a hard fall on my electric skateboard on a Memorial Day group ride and one of the lessons I learned was that my existing wristguards were woefully inadequate. (See the picture of the bruise on my palm.) I saw these and thought they might do a better job of protecting my palms the next time I go down.Well I tried them on and could tell there was a lot more coverage so that was good. As far as I could tell, they seemed comfortable. Unfortunately, I'm returning them. You see, despite ordering the largest size, I could not get the strap around my wrist. My daughter was able to get it tight enough that the velcro could catch but, as you can see in the photo, it was so tight that it was seriously cutting into my skin and it felt like it was cutting off my circulation. Even so, I'm not convinced at all that it simply wouldn't pop loose in a crash, rendering them useless.I really wanted to like these and, other than the strap issue, I did like them. They're just no good for me.Now, if you have very thin wrists, they might work for you. If you're a big guy like me, you'll probably want to look elsewhere.

These wrist guards are sturdy and well made. The reviews are accurate, and make sure to read the size guide. It is accurate as well. My palms are 3" and just over 3" , so I banked on buying the size S, since I tend to have small hands and wrists. The palm section of the guard mostly fit, the velcro didn't completely close across, but the wrist section was way too tight. So I had to go up to a size M and they fit much better. I haven't crashed (yet), but am certain that they will do a good job protecting my wrists.
