So far this hole cover has been very good. The foam backing keeps a watertight seal and prevents any damage to your countertop surface. And this does appear to be a high quality stainless. We are on a well and have a big water softener, which puts ALOT of salt into our water. So far this has not corroded at all, unlike alot of other cheaper knockoffs we have encountered. You wont be disappointed with this.

I am replacing the faucet in my en suite bathroom sink with a really unique faucet but the problem is that it is a one hole faucet and there are three holes in my sink top. I saw this WOWOW 6.3 inch sink deck plate in Chrome and ordered it right away!A second problem was that the sink basin is in the shape of an oval and that doesn't leave a lot of room for a typical deck plate. Because this one has rounded edges, it fit the sink perfectly.What impressed me the most, next to the impressive fit and finish, is the strength. I wanted to give it an ever-so-slight hump up in the center to provide a more positive pressure downward on each end toward the sink (confusing, I know). I was able to do it, but it took considerable effort. Really happy with the results. Great deck plate with waterproof foam insert! Very much recommended!

Escutcheon plates are all over Amazon. Most are pretty decent, as is this one. But the price for this one is too high. It loses a star for that. These typically--this one too--are not solid metal, they are stamped. It would be tempting to drop the rating, but there is a good reason for this, so no demerit. Very simply, the "hollow" design allows a gasket to be placed "in" and under the plate so that it sits evenly on your counter and seals out water from leaking under and into the cabinet below.

The finish is good at fitment was also good but it's thin stamped steel and for a seal they use a thick foam and not a gasket on the underside of the plate. Although it looks and fits like you'd expect I'd like to see a heavier material that used a rubber gasket to keep any moisture from sitting under the the fixture.
