I use this shelving in a spare room to hold extra tools and organize boxes. Easy to assemble, sturdy, not obtrusive or bulky like some of the bigger, heavier shelving options from the big warehouses (Cost&@ or SA&@s). This works well in the house, basement, or even the garage for moderate duty loads. I added 24”x48” plastic sheets (liners) on top of the wire grating to make a smooth base to slide boxes into shelves easily….works perfectly. This works perfectly: https://a.co/d/dBu7cQX

Easy to assemble with a rubber mallet. I was planning on using to store my Christmas decor which was already boxed in plastic storage containers. My boxes were 17 1/2" wide so I couldn't fit three across as I had intended. So plan "B" was to slide a box in from the side. So if you purchase the 48" wide shelves please note you will probably get 45" of usable shelf space. It still works and it's way better than I had before.

Put these in the storage room the room is a little bit damp. I think it will hold up much better than other shelves because they’re metal.! They hold a lot of weight and are perfect! Easy to assemble!

OK I will not comment on all the other topics. Here is the bottom line:I have many shelves (different brands), these are the best, all my wood shelving started warping and sagging, get metal! I also purchased plastic covers, they are not stiff but fills the holes in case you spill something. When building if you use TOTES, you will want to start with the last 2 holes at the bottom, then count 9 open holes, insert your steel in the 10th and 11th hole. This way they are all even shelves and you will use the very top holes. Check out my Pics. Personally I use totes that have lids, and slide them on the shelf. The instructions eludes to many different configurations, and confuses people. If you use the 9 hole open spaces it will look like my pics. The plastic I used was: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJ5L77FR?ref=product_details&th=1All in all , great product, great shipping, great packaging, great experience. Instructions, well that needs improvement, but you will get by.....

Put a 50lb item on the shelf and it feel right through. Will not even hold a 20lb item without the shelf falling through.

The shelf was easy to assemble but it certainly is not a heavy duty unit!I wouldn't buy it again but I can make use of it I will just put the lighter stuff on it. I'll probably replace the wire shelves with plywood, that will make it a little more sturdy and it will carry a little more weight. anyway just sharing my opinion.

I bought two of these. Pretty sturdy. The second one took me 30 minutes to assemble so it’s quick if you know what you’re doing. On the first assembly: 1) Have a good hammer ready. The instructions say use a rubber mallet, but you may need to use a good regular hammer. There are no screws, so you will need to get the bolt hammered into the insert. You can use the rubber mallet to set the bolt in place, but likely need a regular hammer to get it into the insert completely. I have seen pictures where people only insert half way so they need a regular hammer to hammer it completely down (it will take 3 good whacks). 2) I did have one bolt that I needed to shave a little to get into the insert. I used a bi-metal blade on my multi tool oscillator to shave it a little, then used the regular hammer to whack it in. Disclaimer: Using a regular hammer can damage the shelves, but I didn’t get this to make it pretty.
