I am quite impressed with how well this cuts! I have some cat trees that I am refurbishing as sort of a project and I was kind of concerned it wouldn’t cut through the carpet as well as I thought, but it does a nice job.

It feels silly getting a tool like this but it’s so worth it. Broke down 10 large boxes easily and quickly. It’s a lil noisy but I got used to it.

Charges quickly. Works very nicely. Doesnt just cut straight, can curve and do alot of things since it's a scissor. Very time saving and helps not cause pain in the wrists and hand from constant cutting.

It works great. But when using it at night you will wake up every body.

So far I’ve only tried this on wrapping paper and cardboard and its cuts quite easily. Please know the scissors are quite noisy.

I'm so glad I got one for our church anniversary DIY Marque. It works great, rechargeable and has two interchangeable blades. Has a cord but no socket, a case to keep it, and it's super cute color!!edit: I tried it with foam board and it's a struggle cutting short lines and kind of difficult doing curves, but it works with cardboard and paper. Havennt tried with fabric yet.

Electric scissors not that easy to use on boxes

Unboxing the cordless, electric scissors, I was blown away by the quality of the case. It is a hard case with a fabric covering, embossed brand name, and inside contoured cutout for the scissors. The scissors themselves feel well made and solid, not too heavy or light.Working in the fashion industry for years, I’m accustomed to using industrial straight knife cutters and industrial rotary cutters for cutting production (many layers of fabric at once and on the straight knife, up to 8 1/2” thick). Or, I cut by hand with industrial shears. For myself at home, I’m cutting much smaller quantities, usually no more than six or eight layers at once or when cutting leather, just one layer at a time which is customary due to flaws in the skin and inconsistent skin shapes. My training is as a designer and pattern drafter, so you could say cutting to very precise and exacting standards is my specialty. I ordered this because I thought it would be useful when cutting small quantities of fabric layers when I’m cutting more than one of something.Personally, I found it harder to control than the industrial version of a rotary cutter. I know that there are versions of this type out there for the domestic market but had never tried one before so I’m not accustomed to what is normal for domestic rotary cutters. I think the difference is that you have to support this so it’s harder to get started when cutting since you have to hold the cloth to give it a bit of tension as you get the blade started into the cloth, all the while also supporting it in a perpendicular position. On an industrial rotary cutter, you can let go and it stands up on its own. I didn’t feel as safe with this one as I’m right-handed so that hand is holding the device, the blade is more flush with the left side (so you can see precisely where you are cutting), but that is where I’m having to put my other hand to hold the cloth. I’m sure with practise I’ll feel less awkward with it, but it is a tool that does require 100% concentration and for great care to be taken. For cutting straight across, I can see it’ll be useful. For some of the intricate things I cut, not so much, even once I get used to it more. Rotary cutters are simply not as good as a straight blade for tight curves or areas with changing directions within a short distance.I also don’t want to use it on something heavier like cardboard or even paper as I want to keep the blade in good condition for cloth. In the industry we have separate shears for fabric and for pattern cutting. Cutting paper with the shears dulls the blade which will be very noticeable on fine fabrics and I don't want to dull this blade as changing it back and forth with another is simply not practical.I think they’re great for specific things, but they won’t be for my usual cutting out of fabric from my pattern pieces. I’m very adept at handling shears, but for reaching across as I cut layers of cloth to stack, I can see these will be handy. Being cordless is a huge bonus so you don’t have a cord pulling across carefully placed layers. One thing I have to say is that I really appreciate this company including a card to explain why they have not included a USB charger with the cable. Kudos to them for making that decision. Some could say it is to save money, but there are other good reasons to exclude it as they have. Bravo for helping to make people think about these little things that can help us all.
