Great tool for removing hose clamps. As they say, the right tool for the right job makes things easier. Easy to use and holds the clamps better than regular pliers or vice grips. They clamp well and is easy to release by simply sliding the lever. The extension clamps is great for reaching those hard to reach clamps. Is it necessary? No, but it'll make your life easier and reduce frustration.

Good variety for manipulating hose clamps in different sizes and locations. Stamped metal but feels sturdy. Convenient pouch. Useful for for car and home repairs: water lines, air lines, drain lines, etc

I used to get quite annoyed when working with spring hose clamps, namely that in order to release them, it usually takes a larger pair of pliers for its wider jaw opening. It takes space, the chances of slipping is high … they’re frustrating.Turns out I just needed better tools. In this kit are three hose clamp pliers – straight, angled, and remote cabled. The notch and cup help grip on the spring clamp ears, minimizing the chance of slippage, and the locking pawl keeps that hose clamp in the released position instead of having to maintain pressure while wiggling it out of place. And these worked well in the tighter confines of an engine bay.Specialized, yes, but it gets the job done. 5 stars.

I’m generally not one for cheap tools but in the case of tools that are essentially “just in case” items I don’t have much issues putting with grabbing something that works but maybe isn’t bulletproof. I’m not a car/engine mechanic so I do t really need Snap-on quality hose clamp pliers but I do need them to work when I reach for them.Workpro tools meet this need really well. They aren’t junk even if they aren’t professional quality. With respect to these clamps they are pretty decent. They ratchet system works well, they feel decent in hand and they should get done what I need done. Plus they come with a folio-style zipper case so I can toss them in a drawer and not about them until I need them.If you need a hose clamp pliers for here and there use these are definitely worth considering. Happy wrenching.

If you've ever clamped a CV axle boot, you know that it's nearly impossible to get pliers (or end nippers) in there. The pliers with the cable extension would have made my last job much easier. These are the right tool for the job and they are well priced. It comes with a case to keep your tools clean and organized.

I am amazed at how much pliers I get from this package. This is literally all the hose clamp pliers a DIY guy can use in his whole life. I especially like the fact that it has various sizes and different access angles for different pliers. The flexible one is really cool. If I can suggest, I would suggest WorkPro to learn from Snap On's design to make the little cups even more sophisticated to catch all kinds of clamp tips. Harbor Freight has some exact copies of SO pliers, WorkPro can do so too.
