About this item

  • White and gold CT polyester filaments for excellent control and smoothing.
  • Firm formulation, soft touch
  • Stainless steel ferrule
  • Hardwood handle

Gold Edge paintbrushes are made with an exclusive formula of chemically tipped (CT™) polyester. This filament is very soft and fine to virtually eliminate brush marks, yet it has added stiffness to push paint farther on the surface and provide control for sharp, single-pass cuts. Excellent for all paints and enamels, Gold Edge brushes offer semi-professional results at a great price. The Wooster Brush Company has been manufacturing innovative, high-performance painting tools right out of Wooster, Ohio USA since 1851. Our trade names include Ultra/Pro, Advantage, Yachtsman, Shortcut paintbrushes; Super/Fab, Super Doo-Z roller covers; Sherlock frames and extension poles; Jumbo-Kotler minirollers; and Prep Crew surface prep tools. You can feel confident knowing Wooster is the name behind your painting tools.

A 4 inch brush is great for its capacity, it is heavy but if painting is your job you will want a 4 inch brush for walls. Of the 4 inch brushes I prefer the Gold Edge for the feel. I also have the super/pro but come back to the gold edge.

Young Man & Woman, Heed My Advice! I wish I had discovered Wooster products when I was just starting my DIY projects. For painting supplies, I have used everything from Purdy to Farrow & Ball to Contractors Special to whatever was cheapest. WOOSTER PRODUCTS ARE THE VERY BEST I HAVE EVER USED AND MAKE PAINTING 30% FASTER. The brushes and rollers don't drip, paint is applied (somehow magically) slightly thicker so the second coat is easier -- more like a coat and a half. The brushes are just the right stiffness. All for about the same cost on most items. Outfit your project with Wooster and you will not go wrong.
