The Woods 151 Clamp Lamp with 8.5-Inch Reflector works well, but be aware that the metal gets hot – which should be obvious since metal conducts heat. It's great for various lighting needs, and the 6-foot cord provides flexibility. Just handle with care to avoid burns. Overall, it's a solid lamp for the price, but keep in mind the heat issue.

I ended up using this in the goat shed when they had kids. It kept them warm in middle December. I was very glad I had it. Lasted a long time, stayed tight and worked great.

Good quality cover, works well. The clamp is a little light weight as for my use I have to use the cord to hold the lamp at the desired, the clamp alone slips. Please note I am clamping the light to a small vertical post, not ideal.

A very sturdy and solid light. It is of MUCH higher quality than those I've purchased from a big box store probably cost at least twice what I paid for this. The lights I already had are far inferior to this work light. They are flimsy, dent easily and have a dull rather than a highly reflective surface to cast as much light as possible. In short, it is obvious that right out of the box that this work light is in another class altogether. (If I find over its lifetime that it ends up not working well I will certainly update this review.)This light took weeks, rather than days, to arrive, probably because I chose free shipping, so be aware of that if you need it right away. Also, if you are new to using work lights, be sure to purchase "rough service" light bulbs. Regular household light bulbs will not survive the use and abuse a shop light takes.)

This lamp didn't get a 5 star rating only because the nut controlling the tilt up/down of the lamp could be designed better. Even when tightened down hard, the lamp head angle sometimes will slip but only if jarred sufficiently or through above average vibration. I fear though, as the lamp ages, it will only become looser or the threads will strip and it will have to repaired or altered to support the lamp head. But in its defense, I should mention I'm using it with a rather heavy (ceramic) full spectrum LED plant growing light. I did compare the lamp to 3 other lamps we had on hand and it is made with heavier duty materials than the others - 1 of which didn't have a tilt adjustment, the other 2 did and were worn-out or broken, so apparently the tilt adjustment stability is an issue with other manufacturers as well. Otherwise, the lamp has been performing perfectly and seems to manufactured/designed well. I especially appreciate the clamp to secure the lamp to an object. It is especially stiff and stays put very well. I also like the rubber tubing included on that clamp to help ensure against slippage. It would nice if the power cord that was a little bit longer. My decision to buy this particular lamp was based on price, the pictures and other reviews and I am happy with my purchase.

This is such a handy light!I use one inside and one outside ( minus 20+ weather).The clamp works on many things and the light position is easily stabilized.The on / off switch is easy to use and far enough away from the reflector so it's less like to get burned when using it.The cord is good quality and long enough for a decent height for the bulb and reflector.The price is fair. Definitely recommend this product for above reasons..

The rubberized clamp is strong, wide and sturdy for versatile mounting. There is one wingnut which I think if adjusted correctly (loosen before adjusting; tighten once done!) will do a fine job angling this light to focus as I need it. 6' cord is sufficient for most mounting locations. I installed a CFL bulb primarily to keep the heat down; secondly to keep the wattage down. This will come in handy especially at my workbench and under car hoods. May need to get a little creative to clamp a small hook in the clamp. Then it could function like a drop light. Don't be fooled, this thing is industrial and ugly. Only use in finished areas of your home where it can't be easily seen. If you use an incandescent bulb, be considerate of heat and don't start fires or burn your furniture, young kids or pets.
