Just received it so I will update. So far so good! Connected it to my usb on the tv. All modes work perfectly and it's pretty bright. Stability is pretty good 4stars. Doesn't seem to be to warm. The timer works well. Installation was a piece of cake,it fits snug. Verry easy to use.I would recommend this product if your indoor plants are suffering to much shade.

I want to preface by saying I modified this to turn it into a lamp, rather than a garden light like it technically was before. The light itself was left untouched.I got this light for my fish tank, in hopes it might be strong enough to keep them alive and healthy. I chose this light specifically, due to the review which mentioned it accidentally scorched their plant. If it’s strong enough to do that, it should be able to go through water right?I have a small 1 gallon aquarium with a few different plants (including a patch of moss harvested from a brick in my back yard,) and two snails (a nerite and a purple mystery.) I chose specifically low-light plants because what I plan to put in the tank prefers to be in the dark, so I didn’t want anything that would require a high amount of light. The adjustability of this light is perfect, because I can adjust it to what the plants are happy with, while knowing it can go higher if I ever need it to.So, the modifications. These are really simple: I got an 8” wooden disk (about 3/4” in thickness) and drilled a hole the size of the metal rod that came with the light, after the stake piece had been removed. I then sanded the rod and epoxied it to the wooden base, turning this into a proper lamp, with a base that my tank can sit on.The metal rod is fairly cheap, it feels like it would be easily dented, and the light pops off of it easily which is great if you want to switch the pole out, but not so great when you want to adjust the height the light is sitting at. It does have a collar that I think is supposed to lock it into place, but it doesn’t help, the light still pops off. For now I’m just being conscious to pull the pole instead of the light to adjust how tall it is, but once I decide if I’m going to swap the pole out, I’ll be epoxying the light in place so it’s easier to adjust.Very minor gripes overall. As for the light, the only thing I would change is to have a light mode that makes red leaves pop. Some aquarium lights have this but they’re ridiculously expensive. This light does have a warm setting, but I rarely use it. Either it’s full spectrum, or red/blue when I have it on. I would also like the cord to be just a foot longer, but other than that, I’m really happy with it, and the timer works perfectly. I’ve had this for a few months now and it’s still going strong. In fact, when I bought this light, I had separated my plants into two batches. I ordered each plant at the same time and split them. Half went into the tank, and the other half went in my window. I wanted to see if the lights were actually doing anything or if the sunlight is better. Surprisingly, the plants in the window kept dying, but the plants under this light have been thriving! The two little yellow plants were plants that I moved into the tank after I noticed how poorly they’d been with sunlight. They’re supposed to be green and purple or red, and they very clearly are not. You can see the difference with them next to the spring green of the plants that have been in the tank the whole time! It will be interesting to see if they spring back or if they’re too far gone. If these lights can save them, then I’m more sold than I already was. There isn’t much else to say. This is a really good light at a great price, and I will definitely be ordering again when I need more lights for my plants and tanks!

Purchased 2 of these but both of them gave out after a few weeks. They work really well and my plants were thriving, I wish they lasted longer:(

Amazing for adding needed light to dark spaces, and the best value I've found. Especially, if you can get them while on a deal or discount. I've been able to add plants to areas of my house, where normally they would have died from lack of light. I've bought 7 over the last yr to supplement lighting needs for 40+ houseplants, that range in age from freshly potted props to 15+ yrs of my care.-12 blue, 12 red, and 24 white LEDs.-Inline control switch on power cord, that plugs into a USB-C plug(think of a power block for a cell phone).Pros:-Have plants putting off new, moderate growth, even a blooming orchid, in areas that recieve almost no natural light.-More red and blue diodes than some bigger size halo lights.-Won't notice on electric bill, 5(?)watts-Can easily switch them around or adjust height/angle.Cons:-When putting the light head on the telescopic metal rod, make sure you hold onto the specific section of metal that is going into the plastic head or it could be pushed into the next section and is a pain to get back out. (Fooled me once, now I'm a pro, haha)-The power block is cheap. 5 have worked right since day one, 1 quit after 3/4 months(replaced it with another cheap dollar store one), 1 didn't work on arrival but was easily returned and replaced. The next one is a Pro and a very slight Con:-I stick the pole between the dirt and pot to not disturb roots. It tends to lean a lil' when the dirt is drier, but it's also my indicator to check them.Overall, I am super happy with these, and plan to buy more.

This was the first light I had bought for my plants. What I noticed was it worked well with smaller seedlings but once I started using it for my (like 7-8 inch) herb plants, I felt it was doing the bare minimum. They’d grow at a slower rate and the leaves were more droopy than usual if I didn’t place them in the actual sun for longer than how long I had them under the lights. (So continuous rainy days sucked) Once I bought another stronger light, I could immediately see the difference. They were so much more perky (leaves reaching for the sky) than before. I hadn’t seen this reaction from this light I’m currently reviewing on those same plants. So for the price (this one was like $15-20 less) it’s good as a seedling light! Does the job just slower. Love that it has 3 different light settings too!
