Good size for the cost. Smooth finish not overly polished. I have not been able to find wooden ladels in the stores so I was happy to find this for the lower cost.Switching to wood utensils now. The size is good and does the job.

I didn' t have a ladle and needed one for soups and such. I haven't used it yet, but it is very sturdy so I think I'll enjoy it.
