Great quality. I love that they are already sharp. Just put them in the pencil holder and we were ready to go. Super easy.

I got this for my daughter’s classroom when they were low on supplies. This was a great value for the price and they seem to write well.

I bought these for a teacher gift and not only was the box filthy with rips and holes, but the pencils had lead all over them. Unless you want to wash your pencils before use, I’d buy another brand.

Testing all 200 pencils will take years, but the half-dozen I tortured are well made and strong. I slapped them on a desk edge, then sharpened them down to the eraser - no breaks in the lead inside, no adhesive detachment between lead and wood.I wish the same were true for "Dixon Ticonderoga" pencils, which were my favorite, years ago. Dixon Ticonderoga Lápiz (spanish) are made very cheaply somewhere in Mexico, terrible quality. The leads inconsistently black, fragile, unglued and fall out of the wood - if you drop the pencil, or rap it on a table edge, the "Dixon" lead shatters - and falls out. Hence my switch to Rarlan, which I hope will turn out well. The stronger leads are harder, more like a 3HB than a perfect 2HB, but they are strong enough to take a little more writing pressure to leave a bold mark. They sharpen to a smaller point. I can get used to that.My complaint about the Rarlan pencils is they are packaged in a flimsy and poorly-glued cardboard box. Amazon delivers the Rarlan box in a plastic bag, so the Rarlan box falls apart when the bag is dropped on the porch, scattering the pencils inside the Amazon bag. That said, none of the presharpened pencils broke their leads, or lost eraser ferrules or pencil points when abused this way. I repaired the box with Gorilla tape, so it should survive accidental drops in my office. For a few pennies more, Rarlan could strengthen their box, or Amazon could put the Rarlon box in a study padded box, so the Rarlan box would not fall apart. More 5 star reviews, more sales. I wonder if a human decision maker at Amazon reads these reviews and acts on them?
