This is my favorite pencil. I ordered a bigger package from someone else and every time I tried to sharpen a pencil the les would fall out. These are WONDERFUL they sharpen so nicely. I will definitely be ordering more pencils from this seller

We absolutely love these pencils! They write so much better than the typical yellow ones. The 2 HB Soft lead on these is perfect for creating dark lines without having to press hard. This is important to us since dysgraphia runs in our family. They make writing so much easier and more enjoyable.

Ticonderoga pencils are my favorite pencils ever! I love that they come in black which ups the fun and chic factor for me. These sharpen very well and I am never let down by the erasers. If you are a pencil chewer while you work these hold up nicely!!! Can even identify if they are Jon Voights teeth marks for all my fellow Seinfeld fans! Will always be a purchaser of these since I prefer pencil to pen most of the time!

Loved these pencils for their smoothness and dark saturated lead, so ordered more recently. However, these pencils are nothing like the previous batch - not smooth and lead is hard and very light colored on paper. Can’t help but think these are knockoffs as the old (good) version (bottom picture) had registered trademark stamped on them and the new ones (top) don’t. Won’t buy these again - cheap and nothing special about them.

We love this brand of pencils, and we also love how they are coated in black instead of yellow. The only thing I wished was different is that they came sharpened. I love when they presharpen the pencils for you. No matter what you should buy these kind. My kids say they write very nice, and the lead doesn't break constantly either.

Great pencils, high quality, and theres a good feel to em, yknow? Like, that good classic pencil feel, with the scritch scritch and all that. Nice wood, very nice wood; almost soft to the touch, but not quite, just... comfortable. Perfect pencils. Love them. Will buy again.

I tried different pencils, this one the Ticonderoga BLACK is a great pencil. Writes smoothy, nice even black color. Sharpens well, no breakage. Great for illustrations. Bonuse, nice plastic eraser too instead of those cheaper pink ones that gets hard and ruins your work. More expensive than other pencils, but worth the extra cost.

Having seen some poor reviews I was prepared to be disappointed with the black pencils but they are not too bad. I have used the yellow ones for drawing and find them quite good and feel quite nice and the yellow are made from cedar. The black ones, however, are not made from cedar and the finish is not quite as good but for drawing they are still OK. I would not swap a yellow (made in Mexico from cedar) for a black (made in China from ?) But hey use what you have and close your eyes!
