Seems like a nice square but there are no instructions.

The item is machined from solid aluminum and is pretty well made. All the marks I used it for were accurate to my ability to check (I don't have scientific equipment, but my other rulers and measuring items all agree with it to the extent that I can discern with my eyes). I don't really like the extra leg though. It requires extra parts which are small and will definitely get lost in my workshop. It also limits the angle you can create/use when it is installed. The leg itself will probably also go missing after a while ( I try, but you know how it goes). I didn't give it 3 stars because when I just leave the leg, and screw and washer and wrench (yes, it's a lot to lose) in the box, it works really well (4-stars). The leg is a nice thing to add on for specific marking tasks, but the fiddly nature of all those parts leaves it less than a 5 star rating.

Seems like it will work well for the small projects that don’t need the regular size square. Only question is, what’s the string for?

Nice marking square for woodworking. It has many uses and places to make marks. Need a sharp pencil or mechanical pencil to poke through some of the small openings. There is a pin that comes along for a pivot. It is free (able to remove) and no attach to the square. Just need to keep track of it if you use it.

Should have bought sooner! Set up table saw blade, or bandsaw blade, or square up anything where you need a short square. Takes a lot of guess work out of the equation. Oh! Yea! It can be used to mark lines with pre drilled holes clearly labeled.

This tool is a bit different from my others, and I think it'll be handy.

I haven't gotten to use or test it much with the holidays and illness, but it is just the little square I was looking for! I wanted one with all the little scribing holes, but I didn't want to shell out a huge amount like the brand I won't name. So, this fit that area perfect.Since I haven't done much work lately, I haven't gotten to test the accuracy much. Seems to be there though! I love that it is a smaller square. I have quite a few speed/rafter squares and I tend to use my smaller ones the most so this is perfect. I saw another review mentioned not knowing what the pin is for that it comes with, so for anyone wondering - the square has holes at what would be your common angles. The pin goes in those holes so that you can easily make repeated marks at those angles. Hope this helps!

I’ve already got a collection of squares, with my favorite being the traditional combination square, but I was intrigued by the unique functionality of this one.Where combination squares often come up short is when you need to draw a line on one side of dimensional lumber and then carry that line across to the vertical side. If you’re moving quickly and flipping boards around, it’s easy to lose track of your line.. if you mix up your cut side, especially when making miter cuts. I figured a 90-degree square like this would be helpful and seeing it in that eye-catching red anodized color sealed the deal for me. It definitely channels those high-end brands (you know, the one ending with “peckers”), and while blue is popular too, I had to go for the red. When it arrived, I was surprised to find it disassembled. The packaging was neat, and although there were no instructions, it was obvious how to put everything together. The kit included the main parts, an Allen wrench, two screws, and a curious piece of red thread. Like some other reviewers, I wondered if this thread was supposed to fix machining errors somehow, but thankfully, the square was beautifully made. It assembled snugly, and everything aligned perfectly. If you have some Loctite on hand, I’d recommend using it if you don’t plan on disassembling it anytime soon.Once assembled, it felt great in my hand. The machining was clean, with no burrs or rough spots. While it might not be as perfect as pricier models, the tolerances are solid enough for everyday woodworking and carpentry. The standout feature for me was the line-drawing capability. Instead of a built-in pencil holder, there’s a line of holes that act as a guide for a pencil lead, making it easy to draw long, straight lines on lumber. It fits a standard 0.7mm mechanical pencil OK, allowing for precise-enough marks (allot better than the usual tape measure and thumb!).Overall, this square is a fine buy, especially compared to more expensive ones.. if you don't need the best. The lettering is well done, with a durable finish that looks like a mix of anodizing and epoxy. It’s not laser-etched, but the markings are clear and error-free. Once tightened with the provided Allen wrench, there’s no play at all. There’s also a sliding pin for angle marking, which seems precise, though I probably won’t use it much.If you’re looking for a 90-degree or so-called 3D square, this one is a fantastic choice. My only minor gripe(s) is the lack of metric markings, and inability on the one side to reach the full breadth of a 2x4 (max seems to be 3 1/4") Five stars from me—this is a solid addition to any toolbox!
