this little planer works better than expected. from balsa to aromatic cedar, it is impressive for its size.

Opened the package and almost immediately threw it away. Cheap materials, the blade is bent over and uneven with rust spots. I would never let this product touch ANY pieces of wood that I own. Your best options are to either pay the money for the better quality planer, or melt it down into something else. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

This thing fell apart when I took it out of its tiny box. It already had several nicks in the cheap quality blade too.

I cannot believe this is actually sold as a woodworking tool, I have used some less than stellar tools in my life both professionally and as a DIYer but I don't think I have ever handled any "tool" that was as bad as this. Normally when I receive a new tool I open the packaging and take notice of that and if anything might have been damaged in shipment. then I will assemble (if Needed) This didn't need. Then I will see how it fits your hand or the position it is used. Then I will try it out. Usually if it's a finishing tool I will try several types of wood usually starting at construction grade materials then working up to an including the Hardest wood species I have on hand. Packaging was meh came in a little cardboard box like a USB drive might come in, there was no damage. I adjusted the Iron so it barely protruded past the shoe and made 4 passes on some 1x6 Pine there were a couple a OK curls then really nothing I looked at what was happening and those four passes On PINE destroyed the Iron. you can see in the images that on the straightedge there is light passing through where the blade has worn trying to plane PINE. The second image shows how badly the Iron was worn away. Don't waste your time Would not even be useful for balsa wood.

These are teeny tiny little things that might work on balsa wood, but that’s about all. Don’t waste your money on them.

this should be advertised for vegetables not wood .it didnt work for me .
